7/21 how do you beat the heat ...and frizz?

Beat the heat - cool drinks, a/c, pool, &  go to the mountains.

Frizz - I live where there isn't much humidity so frizz not a problem,  dry skin definitely a problem

7/21: How to beat the heat...and minimize frizz?. I minimize frizz on my fine, thin, wavy hair by using a leave-in conditioner like adwoa beauty Melonberry Hair Milk Leave-In Conditioner 6.8 oz / 200 mL and a styling cream like Curlsmith Hold Me Softly Curly Hair Styling Cream Balm .  On nonwash days, I use a minimal amount of water along with more leave-in or hair oil like Verb Ghost Weightless Oil to Fight Frizz and Enhance Shine 2 oz/ 60 mL  to reactivate my styling products(s).

7/4: Favorite flavors of ice cream? Any fruity gelato, especially strawberry or lemon. They’re so fresh in the summer! 

7/5: Favorite place to go swimming: ocean, lake, pool...? I love the ocean but I’ll settle for a pool on a hot day!

7/6: Favorite summer song? This is a tough one - I could have a whole playlist! If I had to pick just one right now, it would be ElectroWave Baby 2.0 by Kid Cudi. Something about the vibes scream summer to me

7/7: If you could have a summer job, what would it be? maybe a trail guide or something! I’d love to be outdoors but I couldn’t handle the pressure of doing something like lifeguarding

7/8: Ideal summer fashion? Maxi dresses and skirts forever!! I am not a fan of shorts at alllllll

7/9: What shoes scream summer to you? I wear my Birks a ton in the summer, but there’s nothing like a fresh pair of white canvas sneakers! I’m very partial to my Supergas ❤️

7/10: Best summer blockbusters? Although it came out last year, I’d probably still stay Barbie! I did recently watch the new Inside Out 2 though and thought it was really good!

7/11: Plan a picnic! I love making charcuterie boards, so that would definitely be on the menu!

7/12: Favorite way to tan? On a beach!

7/13: If you could go on vacation anywhere, where would you go? Northwest Territories - it’s been on my bucket list to see the Aurora Borealis and the northern lights!

7/14: Favorite summer drink (hard or soft)? I’m currently not drinking because I’m still feeding Baby G, but my hard drink of choice was an aperol spritz. For soft drinks, I’m a huuuuuuuge fan of Brio

7/15: Best beach reads? nothing immediately comes to mind, but definitely something lighthearted, maybe a little romance-y too! 

7/16: Least favorite thing about summer? Sticky humidity 

7/18: Summer beauty must-haves? SPF is an all year round must have but especially in the summer. I also really love a glowy dewy blush in a fun color for the summer! I’ve been keeping the Urban Decay Hydromaniac Dewy Liquid Blush Red Flag in my rotation this season and am in love with how it looks!

7/19: Cook out/barbecue: what's on your menu? We have a smoker, so smoked short ribs are definitely on the menu. Cornbread for sure too

7/20: Summer hairstyle you want to try. Hair jewelry and accessories like satin scarves and bandanas! I think these look so cool, plus addded bonus of hiding some hair in need of washing while being a little more stylish than a baseball hat (which I often find myself rocking anyways!)

7/20: Summer hairstyle you want to try.. I don't know if this is a summer hairstyle trend, but I'd love to learn how to French braid my hair.  I've watched YT tutorials, but I'll think I'll stick with jaw clips! 😄

7/19: Cook out/barbecue: what's on your menu?  I do cook outs about as often as picnics, which is about never. 🤣  I worked in an office that liked to do cook outs, and they went out of their way to grill vegan goodies for me:  vegan burgers, veggies, and fruit.

7/18: Summer beauty must-haves?  I'm not sure I use anything different in the summer vs. any other time of year.  I am trying to finish my Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder Universal .  I find it helps keep my skin more matte and less oily, which I do need in the summer.
