Halloween!  It seems like every year it becomes more and more popular.  The candy.  The decorating.  The costumes.  It's so much fun for us to share in the celebration of the season.  Post in as much or as little detail as you'd like.  

And since this is being posted a little early, there are some bonus questions at the end for you to post on now, or once you're suffering from Halloween withdrawal come November 1st!

@CynthieLu it was fun, lots of culture and places to wonder around.  This when the city wasn't so safe  so you needed to keep an eye out.  I haven't seen back in a long time.

10/11: what Halloween party games sound like fun?  Which would you never play?

When i was a kid we would be blindfolded and have to stick our hands in random bowls.   One we were told was eye balls but really grapes., another was cold spaghetti which we were told was worms,.  I don't remember them all but I remember hearing a bunch of preteen girls screaming and laughing their heads off.

I probably wouldn't want to play with a ouija board.   I just don't want to know about the future.

Oct. 12: Do essential oils fit in to this category? I love using EOs for all sorts of things. Topically, I use lavender for skin irritation and peppermint for aches and pains, I use citrus blends for cleaning, and diffuse different scents based on mood/season.

"It" by Stephen King was probably the first scary book and movie I encountered. I know it scared me for years when I was a kid. 🕷️

Hum.. bury Scream they did enough lol. 

10/5: Most wanted king size bar of candy?  Which candy is better in fun size?

Skor was my first king-size in a trick or treat and it's a forever favorite. Best mini, the super tiny m&M's

Stickers!

10/7: What costumes do you enjoy seeing when other people wear them?  Which ones make you cringe?

I love seeing a homemade costume. I love when someone is so proud of thier costume. It's the spirit of the season. 👻🎃

10/8: Have you ever had an otherworldly or supernatural experience.

Yes.

10/9: Best and worst Halloween textures?  

I have no texture concerns lol. 

10/10: Favorite size/shape/color of pumpkins?

Big ol' gnarly pumpkins. 

10/11: What Halloween party game sounds like fun?  And which would you never play?

Play. Telling spooky stories with props like The Wax Museum. As kids people dress up like the wax museum figures, a grown up tells and the kids a scary story about the wax figurines and then they jump scare you. Lol.

10/11: What Halloween party game sounds like fun?  And which would you never play?  I don't know any Halloween party games.  I don't think I've even been to a Halloween party.  Halloween wasn't the thing it is now when I was a youngster--trick or treat was it.

You never bobbed for apples or put your hands on spaghetti and had an adult tell you it was witches hair lol @Titian06 those are the only Halloween games I can think of. 🎃

Oct. 11: We do Halloween themed puzzles and word games in my classroom on Halloween, then do a round of Bingo or two with Halloween characters. Winners get to pick from my big black cat shaped bowl for prizes like candy (of course), Halloween tattoos or stickers, pencils, slap bracelets, etc. 

I don’t love the mummy game where you wrap people up in toilet paper as quickly as you can, it just seems like a waste and a mess.

10/10: Favorite size/shape/color of pumpkins?  My fave is all of them!  However, I gravitate towards the smaller sized, different colored, and different shaped ones because they are fun to decorate with.

I love the ones with the warty things on them.  They are so funky to me.

This year I grew my own pumpkins for fun.  No warty ones but a few small ones and a number of larger ones.
