Monthly Favorites: April/May 2026 Edition!

This is our final opportunity to post what products we really loved over the past two months.  Let's relish posting!

No photos because one of the last few iOS updates kicked up my iPhone camera’s low light auto-correction, to the point where the camera now over-corrects and photos end up looking flat and unnatural. I need to tweak settings and probably install an app that’ll disable some or all of that low light correction.

Anua Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum - my new favorite 10% azelaic acid product. It’s a watery liquid serum full of some of my skin’s favorite anti-inflammation ingredients. It works very well for me, and I hope Anua doesn’t reformulate it for worse anytime soon.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion - possibly my new daily (day and night) moisturizer. It’s richer than my usual (CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion) but not a thick cream, and my skin loves it.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Waterproof Color Cream Eyeshadow & Eyeliner 04 Matte Cobalt - requires quick work if I’m blending/smoking/smudging it out. But once it’s on, it’s budgeproof.

Danessa Myricks Beauty Colorfix Stix - Multi-Use Pearl Pigment Stick for Eye, Cheek & Lip Duo #10 Sh... - of the five duos I have, this is the one I’ve used most over the last couple months—and hey, Sephora now carries duos 9 and 10! (They used to be exclusive to Danessa’s site, so I didn’t think I’d be able to tag duo 10. 😅) This one gets me a quick and easy smokey eye.

DIOR Rouge Dior On Stage Lipstick 425 Wild Rosewood - I’ve probably listed it in a previous monthly faves thread but I’m still super impressed by this formula. I think Dior added 3 new shades, but they’re reds and a soft pink; still no purple or fuchsia. Until a shade like that shows up, Wild Rosewood will keep living in my purge/bag.

My personal favourites that I bought this month are as follows:

1. Sephora collection Lip stain 10H liquid lipstick in the shade 76 blaze of glory

2. Sephora collection About that shine sheer shine lipstick in the shade 02 soft twinkle

3. Sephora collection colorful waterproof eyeshadow/eyeliner multi-stick in the shades 17 olive shimmer and 18 terracotta matte

4. First aid beauty anti chafe stick with shea butter and colloidal oatmeal 

5. Summer Friday sweet pink duo (I bought it for my momma as a Mother’s Day gift, I gave her the nude one I took the pink one)

@Faithlovesmakeu Olive smoke is your shade!!! Stunning!  I'm curious about the anti-chafe stick... Do you find it works really well?  I usually just wear shorts under my dresses but would love another option for summer on my thighs.

I would DEFINITELY recommend it!!!! I’ve used it daily since I got it (about two weeks ago) and it’s helped a lot!!!!!!!

@danielledanielle I pulled out the Mini Cyklar in Vanilla a few weeks ago to try out and ya... there's a lack of foamy for sure.  I only used it a few times though as I've been reaching for more fruity/beachy scents in hopes that my dreams of summer will actually bring it to me.  But I'm down for some dedication if it's going to bring me soft skin!  

I haven't tried tis BofJ SPF yet, I'm moving up to my 'next to open' spot.  I just love a good SPF and their overseas version was so nice, I have high hopes here!

Pantene Sheer Volume was a great find for a clarifying shampoo.   I mixed it with my usual shampoo and it got my hair sift.  Super impressed!  Full disclosure: I only tried it once. 

Dionis goat butter lip mask is new fav lip balm.

@greeneyedgirl107 I've seen this Pantene mentioned a few times lately, I still remember when Pantene was a new brand on the market and EVERYONE in my class was talking about how they got the new shampoo.... I wonder if this is where the love of beauty sparked?
