Make up tutorials/ swatch videos

I'm thinking of starting youtube channel for make up tutorials/reviews videos. If anyone has some tips before I start my channel please share. Thank you ❤️

Exactly like what @Mcakes said, you must say your channel name because I would definitely subscribe.

I would make sure to have a good camera and if you get one, a good microphone. I know so many people who won't subscribe if the video isn't of good quality, no matter how amazing the content.

Please use affordable products. A lot of YTbers use expensive products and don't give good dupes or use drugstore makeup.

Don't have a five minute long intro otherwise people will comment saying the video starts at so and so.

Be yourself. You must be really brave to be putting yourself out there. Never forget how amazing you are no matter what the haters say. I can't wait to see you start an amazing channel. I will make sure I am a subscriber from day 1. Good luck!!

We have some other wonderful BICers on YT! @jesscheems and @meganlisa They might be able to give you behind the scenes and in depth advice.

As a viewer these are the things that I look for:

-Genuine thoughts on products. When I see YTers try to force a good review it turns me off and makes me want to unsub right away. When I sub to someone's channel I am there to get their thoughts. If it's about a product I am really interested in, chances are I've already watched many other videos about the same product so I don't need to hear a summary about what anyone else thinks. I want to know what you think. I can make a better decision this way. 

-Just be yourself! Don't feel like you have to have an overly squeaky voice to "make it big" if that's not who you are. I'm guessing you are starting a channel to be in it for the long haul so we will see your personality throughout the years anyway. Attract the audience you wish to keep! 

-Always disclose sponsored content. Look, you may get to the point where you are on everyone's PR list and that's awesome! You're obviously worked hard to reach that milestone. Just let me know you got it for PR purposes and we're good 🙂
