2018 project pan

time for a new yearly project pan! i'm going to be working my way through my collection, focusing on 18 products at a time.  i will be using other products, both in other project pans and because i want to.  i will be using random.org to choose which products to focus on and roll in new ones as i finish something.  i did this last year and found i was able to use up quite a few products and get good use out of others without getting bored of products.

i have a google doc inventory of my collection.  i put the starting and ending number into random.org and hit the randomize button 18 times.  here are the products i'm starting with *since i know i have more makeup on the way that will change my inventory numbers i'm not including the numbers of the products but i am posting in the order the number came up

Report back my status in March: everything goes as planed. The following are deserved a picture Took me 4yrs to finish that Guerlain foundation and I finally hit pan on the highlighter of the CT palette

This year I’m doing 2 main projects I want to use 50 products before my baby is due in May, and I want to pan 20 items (mostly shadows) before the end of the year and I also plan on doing a one week one pallet starting with Naked basics. I have hit pan on one shadow and finished one shadow thus far but that was due to me not finishing/hitting pan last year. I am so ready to USE my stuff!!!

i feel you!! thats why im doing the random numbers! otherwise i'd never be able to decide what to start with

So fun to see this thread! This is one of my 2018 resolutions... I don't have a huge stash to burn through, just trying to Marie Kondo my makeup life.

@fieldsofclover i probably have a larger collection than the average person but not as much as others.  there are some things i want to use up and then have 1 or 2 in rotation and other things - like eyeshadow palettes - that i'm ok with having more of but i still want to get use of.  for a long time i didn't want to use things up, but now i'm in a i want to get my monies worth mindset.   i'll also be on a low buy next year - really trying to limit what i bring in

Sounds a lot where I'm at. I pitched a lot of stuff and realized I was only wearing the same few things all the time, so I've been on a bit of a buying spree just to find new favorite brands and have real options again. 

But I totally don't want drawers full of makeup I'll never use, either, so after the 26th or so I'll mostly be shopping inside my shiny new collection for a while.
