hyaluronic acid serum Any recommendations?

So apparently my skin is pretty sensitive. I have clear skin. Minor blackheads in my t zone and the occasional period pimple. But certain products do my skin NO good. My face will get blotchy red and I’ll break out. Which I don’t normally ever break out. Like I said I have clear skin and get the ocasional period pimple... I just have bad reactions to certain products. Not sure what ingredients my skin is even reacting to??.. anyways. Just looking for a hyaluronic acid serum for my sensitive skin? Any recommendations??

I'd suggest that you check out the ordinary glycolic acid toner

@Lmarie90 Have you looked into Paula's Choice?

Re: hyaluronic acid serum Any recommendations?

@Lmarie90, I agree with @carlyek, I've used hyaluronic acid serums that don't work for me, I think because they're meant to trap in moisture, and my skin can be dry so there is nothing to "trap".  Rather than a serum, I recommend a moisturizer that has hyaluronic acid in it.  The Perrincone MD Hyalo Plasma Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Moisturizer is great, I actually left a 5 star review for it this time last year if you scroll down into the reviews.  But it's expensive, and I don't know your budget.  I think the brands Peter Thomas Roth and Dr. Dennis Gross also have some.  Good Luck!

Re: hyaluronic acid serum Any recommendations?

If you have sensitive skin, be wary of hyaluronic acid.  I get facials twice a year as a treat at a very reputable day spa.  Last year when the hyaluronic acid products seemed to be the "buzz word", I asked the spa about it and the gal was very hesitant with my fair/sensitive skin.  We tried a milder version of it (because I insisted, I want my wrinkles gone) and my face was red and splotchy for a week.  I got the same reaction with Vitamin C masks too.  There are products out there that will give you the same benefit but better suited for sensitive skin.  It sounds like you have good skin with just occasional breakouts.  I use a lot of Origins products.  They are great for sensitive skin and more natural ingredients.  Hope this helps!

I use Hado Labo Gokujyun lotion. It has 3 different forms of hyaluronic acid. They also have a premium version with 5 forms. I order it directly from the Mentholatum US website (under Imported Asian Products). I put it on after washing my face and before moisturizing. Works incredibly well. I even use it to layer under chapstick if my lips are really dry. I pretty much just want to bathe in it. 😄

Hi! I’ve been using The Ordinary’s Buffet serum and have been loving it. HA is one of its featured ingredients. I’d definitely recommend it. TOalso has a serum that contains HA and B5. Perhaps that is what you are looking for. Good luck!
