Stubborn Acne!

Hey Everyone!

I’m 32 years old and lately I’ve had breakouts on my chin area, not only that, but it seems like after the break out is gone, I have a scar that won’t go away. Any suggestions on what I can use to

get rid of the scarring? Or help with the breakouts? To be honest, the breakouts don’t bother me as much as the scarring does.

Thanks!!

Re: Stubborn Acne!

@LuciaL My favorite two products to help with acne related scarring and hyperpigmentation are PETER THOMAS ROTH - Un-Wrinkle Peel Padsand PHILOSOPHY - The Microdelivery Resurfacing Peel. Both will help with retexturing your skin though chemical exfoliation, and the Philosophy peel has the brightening benefits of vitamin C, as well as a gentle physical exfoliation. Use the Philosophy once a week and the PTR a few times or as tolerated, but not on the same day. You may find your pores are clearer and your skin is overall smoother as well, and the chemical exfoliation will penetrate your skin fighting breakouts before they start.

Re: Stubborn Acne!

@LuciaL If chin acne is large under the skin bumps, most likely hormonal cysts. Chin is typically  where hormones show up.

Scarring or hyperpigmentation?

Re: Stubborn Acne!

Good point, I never thought to look at it as hyperpigmentation, however it would definitely be more that than scarring.

Re: Stubborn Acne!

Gentle exfoliation and a treatment. Could be physical exfoliation or chemical like peels, Dr Gross - use at night. Treatment comes in different  forms like Clinique even better line, vitamin c, Murad rapid spot serum contains hydroquinone - skin lightener.

Also spf daily, hyperpigmentation could become  darker and acids can cause sun sensitivity.
