Primer and foundation for mature skin recommendation.

Has anybody tried Kosas oil foundation? Im 38 years old with pores as big a tub. I like light to medium coverage that looks either natural or radiant. I have tried all kinds of primers but after 2 hours, my pores are out again and my foundation looks terrible. So I’m looking for advice for a good primer for Normal skin with very visible pores and just a recommendation on a good foundation for my mature skin. Thank you

If you're looking for a good pore filling primer, I recommend the tarte timeless™ smoothing & blurring face primer 0.5 oz/ 14.2 g . For mature skin, I recommend looking for a foundation that won't cling to fine lines/wrinkles like the Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Natural Glow Foundation 8.75 .

For your Pores try the Dr. Dennis Gross Pore refiner. I love that stuff. Consider for Primer Mineral Veil by Hourglass and Lancome Teint Idol.

Don’t get the Kosas, that stuff was a hot mess and didn’t even stay on my face. It’s more oil than coverage. At least, get a sample first because that product is expensive.

this one right here!!!!! SOOOOO velvety & light, buildable coverage from light to medium. imo, women over 55 should not be using full coverage of any product. unless they are blessed enuff to have zero wrinkles/ lines. then they can use whichever. Hope the fact that Sephora doesnt sell this is not a faux pas!!

@AnaBanana1981 I picked up the Kosas foundation about a month ago because the idea of an oil formula was really intriguing.  I don't totally love it, but you definitely get nice light coverage with just a few drops of this stuff.  It's liquidy like water and spreads well on the skin.  As far as results, it doesn't seem significantly better than other foundations and was certainly not particularly moisturizing for me.  I have pretty dry skin and was disappointed that it seemed to crack and flake after a few hours....lots of foundations act like that on my skin, but I guess I was hoping this one would be better.

Thank you for your advice! I was so close to buy it just because i thought it wouldnt make my pores super visible. I saw the review on Tati’s channel and thought it could work for me but i guess not. I have sun damage and big pores so I’m just going to keep looking for a miracle primer and a good foundation for mature skin. Thank you again! ❤️❤️

@AnaBanana1981 I recently ordered the Kosas and both love and hate it.  I have dry and aging skin.

On the plus side, it gives a radiant, sheer and natural look.  Real skin but better.  Lovely.  I have struggled with figuring out how to make concealer work (it looks so fake) and have settled on using BB cushions (luminous so similar finish, deeper coverage but not as thick as a concealer).

On the downside, I am used to fuller coverage (with mostly tinted moisturizers and BB creams).

So, some people will love it and others will hate it - IMO.  I am liking it more an more.  

To keep my dry skin dewy and to minimize pores, I apply any foundation when my skin is still moist from toner/essence/serum/cream.  I get a lighter coverage but it also looks more natural.

Not sure it that helps.  But - I do like the Kosas product.  For the right person.  I will keep using it.
