Peptide Serums

Any suggestions for best peptide serum? Should it be part of morning or night routine? Thanks in Advance.

Re: Peptide Serums

I second what @WinglessOne  said. The Ordinary Buffet is amazing. My other favorite is the Celestine serum from Earth Harbor.

Both of Kate Somerville’s peptide serum and vitamin serum work really well for me! Protective, brightening, smoothing and helped me a lot with fading and evening my skin tone.

Re: Peptide Serums

@momsskin Idk, but glamglow has one, I just ordered it today, so obviously havent tried it yet...they have a set on their site of the serum and mega size youthmud for $80, which I picked up bc theyre having a free mega size thirsty mud (my fave) w/$60 order promo.  just thought I'd mention in case you were interested, lol.

Re: Peptide Serums

@momsskin  Most peptide serums can be used any time of day. Whether you want to use a peptide serum for morning or night depends on your personal preference and what else the serum contains. For instance, I prefer to use products containing vitamin C in the morning so I get the most antioxidant benefits from that ingredient. So if my peptide serum also contained vitamin C, I'd use it in the morning.

Also, "the best" serum depends on your particular skin's type, behavior, and needs. The best-for-me peptide serum is The Ordinary "Buffet" 1 oz/ 30 mL . I have mostly-dry combo skin that's inflammation prone, so I like hydrating humectant and skin soothing ingredients. Buffet contains a whole lotta peptides, plus lots of hydrators (in addition to hydrating peptides): 2 forms of hyaluronic acid, 2 forms of PCA, trehalose, urea, sodium lactate, fructose, and probably a couple others I'm forgetting. It also contains soothing allantoin. As a bonus, Buffet contains a probiotic ferment and a boatload of amino acids. Thanks to Buffet's humectants, I often say it this serum bearhugs any product I apply directly over it and pulls it down into my skin. I use Buffet in the morning as my hydrating serum. (I sometimes alternate it with a humectant + cica serum.)

Re: Peptide Serums

@WinglessOne  appreciate your reply 🙂

Re: Peptide Serums

@WinglessOne  Have you tried TO Buffet with copper peptides? I'm curious if there's a big difference between the two. 🤔

Re: Peptide Serums

@Shosh85 The texture is VERY different between the two. OG Buffet is thicker and more hydrating, IMO, whereas Buffet+Copper is thinner consistency.

Re: Peptide Serums

@haleyvvvv  Thank you for your input! Went ahead and ordered the regular Buffet, thanks to you and @WinglessOne! 😊

Re: Peptide Serums

@Shosh85  I've never tried the copper version, so I'm glad @haleyvvvv piped up. 🙂
