Looking for serum

Calling out to all my skincare GURUS! I recently turned 25 and started noticing a lot more creases near my eyes and mouth! I'm looking for any product recommendations that aren't too heavy for the skin. I'm looking to prevent further damage to my skin without getting any injections.. I do love to tan and to laugh - explains the fine lines and small wrinkles that have already started to appear ..

Anywho, if anyone has any products to recommend that aren't too expensive as I'm still a student, I would greatly appreciate it ❤️

Re: Looking for serum

You could start incorporating retinol into your routine. Start slow - my dermatology office recommended starting about once a week, then gradually working up from there. I got the skinceuticals retinol 0.3 and found the price to be reasonable for the quality of the skinceuticals brand. Just make sure if you start retinol to also include spf or higher into your routine. Retinol can make your skin more sun sensitive.

What's your current routine, @Indyavx?

@Indyavx
23 yr old derm employee here,

Using a vitamin C serum and spf daily anti aging must haves! Vitamin C is the one product I’d recommend splurging on. You want to look for a serum with the active ingredient of vitamin C, l ascorbic acid at 10-20%. I personally use skinsceuticals phoretin and silymarin but they are very pricey. Retinol is another key anti acne/ anti aging ingredient. I’d recommend differin gel if you’re not looking to get a prescription. Try getting it at CVS, they send coupons like there’s no tomorrow on their app. Cerave makes the affordable but quality moisturizer and they make a nice eye cream we recommend as well. Hyaluronic acid is a good ingredient to enhance skin plumpness and hydration. I like The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum with Ceramides which is good to use morning and night.

Re: Looking for serum

I've used it, it's good for me, thanks. Besides this I as a college student have to say that I read here https://studymoose.com/free-essays/dress-code-in-school about against dress code essay, this was a very interesting piece of writing that proved to me once again that actually dress code and other things that 'are a normality' are actually not so normal and we as humans should not run after new dendrites.

Re: Looking for serum

@Indyavx Highly recommend sunscreen daily and vitamin c serum.  Sweet Chef from sister brand Glow Recipe makes a great one that is affordable.
