PTR Niacinamide discolouration treatment twice daily has eliminated the freckles on my shoulders in a matter of two weeks so I can attest to itโ€™s effectiveness.  Itโ€™s quite strong and you only need a pea sized amount.

doing regular peels before applying any lightening products will help them work better.

sunscreen everyday whether youโ€™re inside or outside is imperative for maintaining lightened and brightened skin as once the sun damage (spots) are already there they will be prone to coming back with any light exposure.

Re: Hi Everyone!!

My spots are a work in progress but Farmacy honeymoon glow and SUNSCREEN!  I use mineral sunscreens (Darphin and Supergoop are my current faves, Clinique spf 50 was my previous fave). Darphin is a newer product that Iโ€™m trying out with great success so far. Iโ€™d rank it as one of the best mineral sunscreens out there. I hate tinted sunscreen because I feel like Iโ€™m putting yet more makeup on my face (some donโ€™t quite match my color like Supergoop but I still make it work) so thatโ€™s the only downside for me about Darphin.  I got it during Anthropologieโ€™s winter sale. Regimented sunscreen use has made such a difference for me in preventing and allowing old spots to fade.

Hi Everyone!!

I think it's hard to go wrong with vitamin c serums if they are in an acidic formulation, unless you have sensitive skin. There's a bunch of clinical studies and anecdotal evidence for how well and quickly vitamin c can erase sun spots. To be honest, the ones available here are pretty overpriced because you're paying for a brand name instead of actual ingredients. Vitamin c itself isn't expensive, but some brands charge crazy high prices. A couple of very good brands to check out are Timeless and Makeup Artist's Choice. You can find them on Amazon or on their respective websites. MUAC (Makeup Artist's Choice) really sets the industry standard when it comes to skin peels, and they have everything from beginner to professional level peels, as well as products to use before and after. Start slow, but more importantly, take advantage of their customer service experts to get as much info and advice as possible. They may suggest other kinds of products depending on your skin sensitivities, but they will help you get the fastest possible results with the least amount of risk to your skin. They're very responsible about how they sell their products as they sell strong stuff. Whatever you decide, the most important thing is to find a sunscreen that prevents further damage, one that you and your skin like. Any serums or peels you use will make your skin extra vulnerable to the sun. There are lots of products that will get you results eventually (such as retinol serums), but if you and your skin can handle it, it makes the most sense to clear up existing damage quickly, then switch to products that prevent further damage and highlight your healthy skin, and almost any serum you like can do that with antioxidants and hydration.

ps: you have gorgeous skin!!!
