Re: Face wash anti-aging

@SweetSuzi  For cleanser, focus less on anti-aging and more on non-drying. Look for one that won't strip your skin of all oils, leave your skin feeling dry or tight, or make your face feel "squeaky clean"โ€”a sign that you've stripped your skin. That's true for folks at any age. ๐Ÿ™‚ Which cleanser's right for you depends partly on your skin type/behavior.

I'm in my 50s and my skin's mostly-dry combo. It's also quite reactive/inflammation-prone. At night, I wash my face and body with CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar (I'm a PM shower person). That's kinda the bar version of CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, except the cream cleanser doesn't lather (the bar does). In the morning, I often skip facial cleanserโ€”but if I need to wash part or all of my face, I use an even gentler cream cleanser (Paula's Choice RESIST Optimal Results Hydrating Cleanser) or a cleansing balm (either The INKEY List Oat Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 5 oz/ 150 mL  or Paula's Choice Omega + Complex Cleansing Balm 3.5 oz/ 104 mL).

The best preventative anti-aging product you can use is a broad spectrum sunscreen that's at least SPF 30. Many "signs of aging" are caused by UV damage. Do you already use sunscreen each day your skin's exposed to sunlight, regardless of weather or season?

Re: Face wash anti-aging

@SweetSuzi Honestly, I don't think a cleanser will help much for anti-aging.  I'd go with something topical.

Re: Face wash anti-aging

@SweetSuzi Hello there, I'll recommend some cleansers I like that happen to be aimed at anti-aging below that you may enjoy. That being said, if you're looking to up your anti-aging routine I'd recommend investing into a good serum, moisturizer and/or face masks. In my experience (and that of my mom) this does a lot more benefit to the skin opposed to a cleanser which only stays on our skin for a few minutes (at best) and then gets rinsed off down the sink. Items that stay on and fully absorb into the skin provide a much bigger effect. Here's some recommendations that are aimed at anti-aging or work well for mature skin.
