Dry sunken undereyes

Hello! I’m having a difficult time with my under eyes they look dry and usually sunken and wrinkly. Any advice on skincare and/or concealer type products to help with this? In this photo I have no makeup on. Going to Sephora tomorrow to pick up some things and thought I’d start a post here beforehand.

Re: Dry sunken undereyes

I’m 50, @JessiP117 , and used to have these and it turned out it was allergies. I do get a lot of allergies but my under-eyes started looking a lot better when I continued using my Zyrtec even when I wasn’t having other allergy symptoms.

Re: Dry sunken undereyes

I have the same issue.

Re: Dry sunken undereyes

@JessiP117 It looks like you need some hydration or brighteners for under the eyes.

Sephora employee here.  A beauty advisor in store can also do a skin scan and cater products to your skin needs.

Some products that may help

KORA Organics Noni Glow Radiant Eye Oil .34 oz / 10 mL

OLEHENRIKSEN C Your Best Selfie Brightening Moisturizer & Eye Crème Set

Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid

Tower 28 Beauty Swipe All-Over Hydrating Serum Concealer

Re: Dry sunken undereyes

This might sound really blunt, so pardon @JessiP117 , but have you seen a doc or specialist?  There are some vitamin deficiencies that can be at play when it comes to the skin underneath your eye.    A lot of things with skin (including hair) are usually clues to what's happening/happened inside.

Also, a lot of things are genetic, for example, I have malar bags,  so concealer helps, but they didn't fully disappear.  I would suggest checking that out, too, if you haven't already.

Products....

In the drier months, I try to go heavier on fluids and hydration skin care just because I feel like the heat in a lot of areas I travel to also dries me out.

For eyes, I've been loving samples of the Macrene eye cream, but I don't have the coin for the FS 👀.  That being said ,trader Joe's has a great eye cream as well.  Sephora also just released SEPHORA COLLECTION Lift & Firm - Smoothing & Firming Eye Cream with Peptides + Hyaluronic Acid which I'm curious to try.  I also have liked belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb with Peptide and Ceramide .84 oz / 25 ml (before the reformulation) and there's also IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Brightening Eye Cream for Dark Circles 0.5 oz

In the evening, I like sealing my eye cream with LANEIGE Bouncy & Firm Eye Brightening Sleeping Mask with Peony + Collagen Complex™ .7 oz / 20 g .. Which a few other folks on BIC love, too

In the AM, I like using The Ordinary Argireline Solution 10% Serum for Facial Wrinkles 1 oz/ 30 mL with eyes masks like SEPHORA COLLECTION Eye Mask Patches for Dark Circles + De-Puffing Cucumber or Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Hydra-Gel Eye Patches

Re: Dry sunken undereyes

I think it’s more hereditary and also possibly combo of lack of sleep, increased stress and lack of hydration but I’ll def mention it when I go in June for my physical if it’s not better. Thank you for the recs! I’m going to check them out. I also started taking collagen again too. Getting old isn’t for the weak 😝

Re: Dry sunken undereyes

Ooh, self care check in @JessiP117 , get what you need, or make little small steps to get them.

Heh, I back you on getting old, it's definitely not for the weak, considering the alternative ☠️. But honestly, any day we get to play with makeup and skincare, we're doing this aging thing well 🙌🏽
