Cakey Face

Hi !Im 58 . I need so much help. I dont feel pretty. I dont like the way makeup looks on my face. I need a foundation that will not look cakey. I use Il Makiage Woke up like this. I have used Lancome Renergie 250.

I use Juice Beauty Stem Cellular in the morning, along with Beekman 1802 Golden Booster. I will also use Juice Beauty CC Cream  color Corrector. I also use Maybelline Master prime for Redness. I have senestive skin. I was going to try Haus, but havent. I also use Hoda Beauty baking powder. What am I doing wrong !? I need so much advice. Please and Thank you so much!

Re: Cakey Face

Hi Asahie! I know how you feel! I'm 59, and skin is dry and sensitive. Here's what has been working for me lately. Two nights a week, I use Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta® Ultra Gentle Daily Peel Pads for Sensitive Skin 30 treatments ... . They are really truly amazing and don't irritate my skin at all. I follow that with CeraVe Cream. That is an amazing moisturizer too. You can find it in drugstores for around $15.00. I also use Cetaphil Vitamin C serum in the mornings, followed by CeraVe cream. Then I use sunscreen and my favorite is #Lancome primer and sunscreen....not sure why that is not showing up. A drug store brand like Neutrogena is just fine. I use #Futurist Hydra Estee Lauder foundation. I was doing a lot more to my skin and I have found that the more gentle to it I am the better it looks. My links did not post for some reason. I'm sorry. I do hope this helps in some way. (I used to use Lancome foundation, then they changed it.) I'm sure you already look great!

Re: Cakey Face

I have the same problem with caking and find that most of the times, it has to do with the primers or serums… and their interaction with the foundation. It’s definitely been a game of trial and error. Not a makeup but I’ve recently started using StriVectin Contour Restore™ Tightening & Sculpting Moisturizing Face Cream 1.7 oz/ 50 mL and has helped tighten and smooth my skin. That noted, I wish our society was more welcoming of aging women. You are beautiful and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. ❤️
