I’m like many of the new people in this group but I may be a bit more needy!  I’ve never known what products to use or what order to use them and I’m 53. Getting a late start. I’ll take all the help I can get.

my skin is combination, oily around nose

When I breakout it’s nose and chin.

forehead wrinkles, no botox

starting to get lines around mouth

Texture is not smooth

some discoloration, age spots I guess??

I currently use Aveno radiant scrub and Olay hydrating cream at night.

Honestly 53 is not a late start at all, and with your combination of concerns the two ingredients worth building around are retinol for the texture, lines, and discoloration all at once, and niacinamide for the oiliness around your nose and chin since it regulates sebum while also helping with uneven skin tone, so a simple cleanser, niacinamide serum, moisturizer routine during the day and introducing a low percentage retinol at night a few times a week is a solid place to begin without overwhelming your skin.
