Hi everyone! I’m not too sure how to combat/make this issue disappear with make up. Some of the pores on my nose and cheek area are very large and I’m not sure what to do about it. I have used a couple drug store primers but my foundation separates after an hour or 2:( recommendations for primers and skin care would be appreciated 🫶🫶

Hi @Aleksandra03 ! What’s your current skincare routine (brands + product names), and skin type/behavior (besides acne-prone)? 

Do you use any salicylic acid (BHA) products? Though you can’t really shrink your pores, you can remove gunk (excess dead skin cells, bacteria, etc.) that might be stretching them wider than usual. BHA is perfect for that task: it gets down into your pores to degunk’ em. 2% strength is plenty for most folks. You could try a leave-on product like Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Exfoliating Toner for Clear Skin or The INKEY List Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Blemish + Blackhead Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL . If you have sensitive skin, you might prefer a rinse-off option like The INKEY List Salicylic Acid Cleanser 5 oz or CeraVe Acne Control Cleanser. 

Niacinamide is also good for pore maintenance, among other things. Check your current products to see if they contain this ingredient. 

You might also want to consult a board certified dermatologist to see if some of your “large pores” are actually indented acne scars. A derm can make better recommendations to treat those.
