Is my Fenty foundation causing acne???

I tried the fenty foundation. The colour match and look is fabulous. But I’m getting acne like crazy. Has anyone else had breakouts? I think I need to return this product...

I have been searching for a new foundation and started getting painful acne and decided to see if it might be this foundation. I see I’m not the only one and I am so bummed bc I love it. 

Has as anyone tried adding an acne solution or oil into the foundation to see if it helps? The pimples are so painful I don’t know if it’s worth trying. I’m going to stop using it and see if the acne calms down and goes away.

Try BareMinerals BarePro liquid! It’s more difficult to blend, but has a similar coverage/formula. I’m going back to BarePro after breaking out from Fenty. BAREMINERALS - BarePRO™ Performance Wear Liquid Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20

I definitely think this foundation may contribute to breakouts. I was so disappointed because I tried several shades and ended up buying two different bottles. When I finally found a shade match I liked and started wearing the foundation consistently I noticed I would get large cystic pimples on my chin or cheek. I love the way it looks on my skin so I use it for special occasions (like being in a wedding) but I can't use it as my every day foundation.

I had the same experience with this!! I started noticing cystic acne appearing on my chin and cheeks... I was so hoping that it was not the product but after going without it for a little and then starting back, the same thing happened...

Hi! I’ve recently bought the Fenty foundation and i definitely think it’s causing acne! I’m acne prone unfortunately but over the last two years my skin has been way better than it ever was. But I’ve been breaking out every since i started using the foundation and that’s been the one new thing to my regiment. 😞

Same here! If I put it on in the morning, my skin will starts to break at night. I wanted it to work so badly, because it looks so beautiful on my skin!

Same happened to me. Try Nars. I bought it last week and gives me better coverage and stays in place. No breakout

Yes, I have noticed the same problem as soon as I used this foundation.  I have cystic acne that is kept under control but as soon as used this I got two large painful zits on my chin, which is the place where I first start to break out.  A previous poster mentioned this foundation has high levels of silicone, which would explain the breakouts.  I was breaking out a ton when I wore Lancome's Le Base Pro Primer, which is also silicone based.  I was not very impressed by the staying power of this foundation, as I found myself having to reapply and do touch ups a couple of times a day, which I don't need to do with any of the other foundations I use if I use primer, translucent powder and makeup setting spray.  I will most likely be returning this foundation, which makes me sad because I waited so patiently for it to arrive after ordering the wrong color and waiting for my color be in stock.

Same here! I got terrible acne after using Fenty Foundation three times I haven't gone any better. Any advice?

Yes! I’m been wearing only the Fenty Foundation and it’s been about 3 months now . And wow my skin has been getting worse ! I’ve never had cyst and I have them now . And I have pimple almost everywhere on my face girl . & I wash my face but whenever I put this foundation on after wards I always break out ! Almost 90% of the time . I love the coverage but I’m not digging this brutal acne. Even my best friend told me “wow I’ve never seen you break out like this before” I need to start looking for a different foundation 😞 . This acne gottaaa goooo ASAP. I rather have a foundation that doesn’t make my skin break out like this .

I’m on my 3rd bottle bc I wear the Fenty Foundation religiously. I have cystic acne but I haven’t broken out more than usual. I’m on an antibiotic and topical cream which seems to keep it under control. It could be a number of things since our skin is so sensitive I wouldn’t jump to conclusions and blame the make up

all the people commenting with the existing cystic acne aren’t getting these breakouts bc they’re on antibiotics and already treating it. As for the rest of us, we need to get some help! This hasn’t been cheap! I’ve been buying skin care left & right & nothing seems to be helping! 😔

The Fenty Foundation contains a super high content of silicone. Although silicone is found in pretty much all foundations, the Fenty one in particular has a lot and what that ingredient does is traps everything under it like bacteria. I returned mine after I woke up with like 4 cysts and decided to go silicone free with my makeup (which is super hard because it's literally in everything) but my skin has thanked me for it.

Omg, my face looks a mess and it has to be this fondation because a few of my hair clients purchased it and said they threw it away because it broke the out so bad. My face looks terrible but I’m gonna have to throw it away also

Was just doing a websearch for this.. I just bought mine last week and have been breaking out so much since... I even tried putting something under it and keep finding new pimples daily. My skin has never been like this.

I recently began using the foundation two weeks ago and I have never been the one to experience massive amounts of acne. Ever since I applied the foundation I have began to break out like crazy! Not only that but my skin has also become very irritated. It has really messed up my skin! From my forehead, cheeks, chin, EVERYWHERE!

I just came here on the hunt to see if people have had the same problem. I've always had decent skin and for some reason the Fenty foundation has been giving me acne like crazy. I was trying to excuse it as hormones but every single time I wear it for more than an hour or two I end up with a new zit.

The Fenty foundation completely destroyed my skin. I really was hoping it wasn't true because I loved loved loved the coverage and texture. I did notice it was really sinking into my pores. After a couple days of using it I started to break out and I figured it's probably just that time of month. Before you know it , I had a full-blown break out, my entire face, my forehead I would say at least one to two hundred pimples, my cheeks, my chin and it lasted four weeks. I did go to the dermatologist and they confirmed it was from the foundation. It brought me so much anxiety and depression and it was embarrassing to be seen with my face so destroyed. I've had breakouts as a teen and young adult and here I am going on 27 and I've never experienced something this horrible.
