Is Khiels midnight recovery good for acne prone skin?

I’m acne prone sensitive skin. Not oily, not dry and I was wondering if this would work for my skin type or not.

Kiehl's Since 1851 Midnight Recovery Concentrate Moisturizing Face Oil 1 oz/ 30 ml

I suffer from cystic acne and the sample of this product that I got didn't break me out. I was actually thinking of buying the full size of this item because I did notice a big difference after using it too!! I used this product for 2 weeks (that's how long the sample lasted), but some products take longer to break you out. Try getting a sample of it if you can.

Hey!! So, I’m cystic acne prone and I LOVE this product. It’s very calming and soothing and I wake up the next day with calm, less inflamed skin. Hope this helps!

I’ve been using this product for 6 months and it’s dramatically changed my skin! This is the only moisturizer I use because lotions really clog my skin. I prefer oils even though I have acne prone skin because I feel like it’s the concentrate for all you need in a moisturizer. If you get the right one it will not make you oily or clog your pores, and the midnight recover serum has never done that to my skin. I also use strong medication such as retinin a and it works great with the serum

I would try my best to avoid a product like that for your face especially if your skin is already irritated from acne. It has a whoooole lotta essential oils and added fragrance/perfume which has been shown to do nothing but aromatherapy. In skin care, it actually causes a ton of problems and most people dont realize it but essential oils even diluted are irritating to the skin and do more harm than good.... that being said a good replacement might be a niacinamide serum? (The Ordinary has a pretty reasonably priced one) or you could try a product like a toner or serum with glycolic acid or linoleic acid if you find yourself with clogged pores. These are milder chemical exfoliants found in many products to help with acne/clear skin. If youre willing to spend over $40... might i suggest my holy grail product to you? Its formulated as a sleeping mask, but i use it exclusively for spot treatments during the serum phase of my nightly routine: the Glow Recipe Avocado Sleeping Mask (not to be confused with the eye cream) seriously helps so so so much with active acne, acne scars, and the dry flakiness i get after acne scars start to fade. Hope this helps !
