Face rash

I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of rash this might be? It is composed of hundreds of tiny bumps on my face that are mostly skin coloured and only slightly red. They get a bit dry and flaky or tight feeling in the areas with more of them. It has been there for about 2 weeks and is not improving.

Re: Face rash

Hi! This happens to me also when a product doesn't agree with me. It recently happened with niacinimide serum and sunscreen. I think products just tend to throw off the pH of our skin. I did find a serum that tends to calm it down a bit--Estee Lauder Advanced night repair, just a few drops. You can buy tiny sample versions of it to try it out. Also I recommend trying one product at a time to see what might be causing the reaction. Avoid layering any products that might be too oily or too drying. Good luck!

Re: Face rash

hey.. I have the exact same type of rash. im wondering if you found some home remedy to clear it up or found out what it even was exactly? and how long it took to clear up

RE: Face rash

I tried a new sunscreen about 2 weeks ago for one day, a mineral sunscreen by La Roche-Posay and once a couple weeks ago I tried a cream by Drunk Elephant, but I didn’t try anything else before the rash. My usual routine is to wash my face with cleansing milk by Secret, then a Hydration serum by Rodan and Fields and then La Roche Nutritic Intense for very dry and sensitive skin (or I use night cream by Borghese) and Calm Mineral sunscreen by Paula’s Choice. Now after the rash I have tried a couple home remedy things like using apple cidar vinegar and water and dabbing it on my skin a couple times a day and using coconut oil with some tea tree oil in it to moisture, but I don’t know if that is helping or making it worse. Either way the rash is not going away, weather I do nothing or try weird things, and I don’t know what to do.

Re: RE: Face rash

I had a very similar experience when I used Drunk Elephant .. I love trying new products and really found through the fun lol that I have to completely avoid three specific ingredients to avoid this problem and it did take me a few weeks to clear up 😔 I’m sorry .. face rashes are so un-fun and  frustrating! I hope it gets better soon and I hope this post is somewhat helpful 🙂😬🥰

RE: Face rash

Possibly an allergic reaction to something? Something is irritating your skin. Have you used a new product on your face?

Hi @Charlie110 –

Can you share what products are you using? Are you using any exfoliants? It looks like your skin could be quite irritated.
