Does the Glow Recipe Strawberry BHA serum actualy work?

Hello! I’m a teenager having some hormonal acne, I’ve seen many reviews saying that this works. I’ve checked the skin type concerns-but it seems to be different with everyone. I’ve used many other acne products and they don’t seem to work, could this be one of them? Should I visit the dermatologist? For context I have oily skin and combination. Thank you!

With hormonal acne what helped me was birth control to regulate my hormones and Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant for Clear Skin 4 oz/ 118 mL with the corsx 15% nicinamide serum. They worked really well to help the heal and kind of prevent acne but around my cycle I would still get breakouts so I started taking birth control to help. But if you do have the option to see a dermatologist it’s always helpful.
