Differin and azelaic acid

Spoiler
Help!!!

Is it possible to use azelaic acid on the t zone while using differin in the rest of your face?

Re: Differin and azelaic acid

@aylinxoxo111  It's possible, but... did your doctor instruct you to avoid putting Differin on your t zone (I assume that includes your forehead)? Differin gel is meant to be used on your whole face except your eye area. If your doc instructed otherwise, then follow their instructions of course.

You can also layer adapalene (Differin gel's active ingredient) and azelaic acid on the same skin. Since azelaic acid can cause some irritation for some folks (made me itchy during my first month of use, then my skin adapted to it) and adapalene can also cause irritation, you might not wanna layer them together—or you might wanna patch test the layering before trying it on your whole face. Or you can use azelaic acid and adapalene at different times of day, perhaps azelaic acid in the morning and adapalene at night.
