Acne

Hi guys Iโ€™m looking for some good products to help my acne. I do have dry skin and have eczema! I also get little white bumps all over my face around my mouth cheeks and forehead!  Please leave some recommendations

Re: Acne

I recommend that you visit a dermatologist to discuss how to treat acne and eczema together. Additionally, a derm might determine your acne is hormonal and can prescribe an oral medication to help you. For a face wash that should not bother eczema, Vanicream is really gentle and basic. It's not luxurious, but it does the job. I would try over-the-counter retinol if you have not used retinol before and start using it 2-3 times weekly at night. If your skin is sensitive (especially with eczema) it can be helpful to use a thin layer of moisturizer or a hydrating serum before applying retinol (sandwich method). Hydrating serums I like are the Aveeno Calm + Restore serum (you might also find their cleanser in the Calm + Restore line face wash and moisturizer) and Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. Exfoliating is helpful for acne and removing dead skin. I would suggest using either a Salicylic acid face wash (CeraVe has one) 2-3 times a week OR using a PHA toner (better for dry and sensitive skin). Spot treat zits with benzoyl peroxide. Make sure to wear sunscreen if you exfoliate and/or apply retinol.

Since you have dry skin, I suggest steering clear from matte sunscreens as they could be over-drying. I like Colorescience Faceshield Flex or Supergoop Sheerscreen, which has more of a natural finish. But there are a ton of sunscreens out there at different price ranges. I prefer mineral-based sunscreen because I have sensitive skin and chemical sunscreens break me out, but it comes down to formulation preference. I find double cleansing with a balm has really helped my skin. Micellar water and cotton rounds tend to be a little rougher on my skin. It could be worthwhile to try double cleansing if you haven't and applying a balm before going in with a water-based cleanser.

Re: Acne

@RyBuckingham for the bumps and pimples I highly suggest trying SK-II Aging Skin Facial Treatment Essence with Antioxidants  really helped with my little white bumps and a lot of my texture without irritating my sensitivite skin or causing dry patches. I use the Essence with an old Serum dropper instead of as a toner and it works better I find. The The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum  is a very good Serum for bumps and pimples but it is very harsh. Might make your eczema flare up. The The INKEY List Niacinamide Oil Control Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL  is not as harsh and didn't dry and irritate my skin as much. Another really great product to try that isn't irritating is Drunk Elephant Protiniโ„ข Powerpeptide Resurfacing Serum with Lactic Acid 1.0 oz/ 30 mL . and lastly I highly recommend Clinique's Moisture Surge line (the face cream, face spray, toner, and overnight mask) are all great and work for acne prone skin! for the eczema that line should really help as well!

Re: Acne

After cleaning your face, u should use exfoliator products which include BHA such as Paula Choice BHA 2%, and then u can use some serum to minimize and reduce your red spots like The ordinary: Niacinamide 10%+ Zinc. If you want to enhance your treatment routine, u can use products contain Retinol of Paula Choice or Obagi 1.0. Finally make sure to apply moisturizer (Eg: Peter Thomas Roth, Farmacy, or neutrogena, itโ€™s really really suitable for dry skin)
