Acne safe bronzer

Does anyone have any recommendations for an acne safe bronzer? Been struggling to find one that runs deep enough for my skin tone

solely looking for suggestions and not the meaning of “acne safe”, thanks for any suggestions!

@Brittney97  “Acne safe” makeup isn’t really a thing. What’s safe for you depends on which specific ingredients trigger your acne; we don’t all have the same triggers. Do you know yours? Are there any products that seem to cause acne for you?

Also, is there a foundation or concealer that’s close to your skin tone? That’ll help me gauge how deep a bronzer shade you’re after. Do you have an undertone preference? Do you care if the bronzer’s powder or cream? Got a price cap?

Re: Acne safe bronzer

Thanks for the acne safe suggestions. I’ll look into those options!

Re: Acne safe bronzer

Thanks for your input but the rest of my makeup is acne safe and I check the ingredients in an app to verify and looking for products that align with that based off of the input of my esti. Open price point and open to formula. For color reference my conceal is shade 16 in Danessa Myricks concealer.

Re: Acne safe bronzer

@Brittney97  Have you tried using Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder - Tinted Primer & Foundation 10 as a bronzer, or maybe the shades around it? Maybe NARS Laguna Talc-Free Bronzer Powder Laguna 08 or 07? Glossier Cloud Paint Gel Cream Bronzer Drift and Tower 28 Beauty Bronzino Illuminating Cream Bronzer Pacific Coast are other options to consider.

The reason I said “acne safe makeup’s not really a thing” is because scientific studies have debunked that concept as a myth. I know there’s a list of “acne-causing” ingredients floating around the internet and plugged into certain ingredient-checker apps, but that list is based on faulty info. Plus, different ingredients trigger different people’s acne; there’s not a one size fits all approach to avoiding ingredients that supposedly cause or worsen acne. It really depends on your particular skin’s behavior. I mean, if you know Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Lift & Flex Hydrating Concealer With Hyaluronic Acid & Caffeine works well for your skin (doesn’t trigger your acne), you could just try using a deeper shade of that as a bronzer. You could even mix it with a bit of your usual moisturizer to make it a creamier less-matte texture if needed.

Whichever product you try, I hope it works for you!
