Acne Product Suggestions

I've been having some issues with acne on my chest and back. Any one have any good ideas to help get rid of it? Products? Would it be better to just go to a dermatologist?

RE: Acne Product Suggestions

Tea tree oil works miracles. You can get it from the body shop for a reasonable price. Witch hazel is great too!

Re: RE: Acne Product Suggestions

I've been trying tea tree oil for the past few months but it doesn't seem to be doing anything either. I've tired ALOT of different acne soultions to try and help/fix this issue including witch hazel but nothing seems to really be working. I give everything a fair chance to "work some magic" but it seems that my skin is very tough to clear.

RE: Acne Product Suggestions

I used neutrogena's grapefruit wash and then I wipe witch hazel toner on my chest and back with a cotton pad. Not all of it is gone but it's helped quite a bit.

Re: RE: Acne Product Suggestions

Yea, I've tried that combo. The body wash didn't seem to do anything special for me. I've heard that witch hazel is great for the skin but I guess my skin just didn't need it because it was more or less just "fragranced water" that didn't harm anything with my skin but it also didn't solve any of my problems.

Murad makes an acne body wash. I haven't tried it, but they're other products are great.

I think going to the dermatologist is the best idea because he/she will prescribe washes and medications that will clear it. I went to my dermatologist and my acne cleared in 1 month!!!

Re: RE: Acne Product Suggestions

Wow, that's awesome! I should go but I'm not sure how to choose a good one seeing as I've never had this problem before and I've never been to a dermatologist.
