What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? :smileyvery-happy:

Re: What's on your plate?

My go to for thanksgiving is the Texas roadhouse rolls with the honey butter its on pinterest. And its delicious :smileyhappy:

Re: What's on your plate?

My absolute weakness!!  Evil Yeast Rolls!  ;-)

Re: What's on your plate?

I love those huge yeast rolls from Bob Evans.  I'm trying to find a recipe that is close to theirs. :smileyhappy:

Re: What's on your plate?

My yeast roll addiction is fed by Logan's Roadhouse.  We don't have Bob Evans here in North Georgia but I'm sure they are delicious.  A small bowl of softened butter and I bet I could pull a Houdini on the whole pan (shameful, I know) of your yeast rolls!  LOL

Oooo, please share the recipe!

Re: What's on your plate?

Google Tyler Florence focaccia - I followed to a tee, except for omitting the olives.  I'd also cut back on the kosher salt sprinkled on top - maybe to just 1/2 tbsp?  It was very tasty!!

Re: What's on your plate?

It LOOKS tasty! I'll definitely look that up!

*looks up*

I'm back! And yuppp, totally have just about everything to make that! Score!

Thank you!

I wish we were able to link webpages here in this thread! It would make posting recipes so much easier!

Re: What's on your plate?

Mmm, that spinach frittata looks so yummy! It makes me think of the spinach-quiche tortilla pie thing I made! What all did you put in yours?

Spinach, shallot, portabella, yellow bell pepper, Herbes de Provence, a touch of garlic And 3 shakes of chipotle tabasco.  I did not have much shredded mozzarella but that's browned on top. No crust, I do mine on stove top in a big nonstick skillet, sautee things, add 16 beaten, strained eggs then gently fold in large curds until 1/2 set, then top with the cheese and finish in the oven for 10 min, it's fast.  I make the salad while it's baking. 8 servings, 20 min to table.

Sweet Spanish Paprika and Ancho Chili blend sprinkled over. Sauce is Country Dijon+half and half seasoned with onion and garlic powder. One of my endless variations of baked 'Fish in a Dish'.
