Thought I'd start a thread just for Viseart since so many of us LOVE them.

I love to encourage a small brand as opposed to a brand where you pay for the name. The eye shadow quality can't be beat!

Saw this on Facebook a while back and thought I'd add it here.

A 12 color Viseart Eyeshadow Palette is $80 USD (before pro discount). Each eyeshadow pan is 2 grams and valued at approx. $6 ($3.00 per gram).

MAC has reduced the price of their single eyeshadows refills from $10 USD to $6 USD each. So 12 colors at the new reduced price would be $72 USD (before pro discount). Add the $8 USD empty palette to store them and we're back to $80 USD.

EXCEPT: Each MAC eyeshadow pan is only 1.3 grams ($4.62 per gram). You're getting only 15.6 grams of product, as opposed to the 24 grams of eyeshadow in the Viseart palette. That's a loss of over 8 grams of product.

FINAL ANALYSIS:
It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the Viseart palette (24 grams of MAC eyeshadow at $4.62 per gram and $8 for the palette).

Oh maybe. 🙂 Thanks! PM me if you go so I can give you an answer... Postage shouldn't be too bad if it's USPS cheapest way. The biggest problems with US companies shipping to Canada is that they use FedEx and it's super expensive to ship... Like 30+ USD which means 40+ CAD 😞

I'm not taken with any of the minis, but I think they'll be good for introducing people to the brand at a lower price point.

IMATS does come to Toronto, but that's the only one I know of.

yeah I know they do go to Toronto but looking at the brands at LA/NY compared to TO... so not worth it unless you live there IMO.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Viseart eyeshadows and the Tom Ford eyeshadows in terms of texure? 🙂 

I only have the Viseart and there are no Tom Ford stores near my house... 😞

Both are really good quality, but I find TF a bit more powdery (i.e. it kicks up a bit of dust when I put my brush in the pan) 

I don't find that happens at all with Viseart.  

They both wear well but I can wear Viseart without a primer on my oily eyelids and not worry about creasing, but cannot do that with TF.  

Other than that, the biggest difference IMO is Viseart doesn't have glitter shades.

Thank you, Mochapj!  I was interested in the shade called Nude dip but I have oily eyelids too and don't like powdery textures. And TF eyeshadows are more expansive per shade compare to Viseart.

The new palettes are supposed to debut at the LA Makeup Show! The 3 smaller ones are magnetic and interchangeable!!!!! OMG I can't wait to get my hands on some!
