O-M-G, YOU GUYS.
Have you heard the news? ColourPop is coming to Sephora!
We are partnering with them to launch an exclusive line on 10/31. Keep an eye on this thread for updates and sneak peeks!
What do you think it is, any guesses?
10/18 UPDATE:
10/30 UPDATE: Reminder! ColourPop will be available at Sephora tomorrow 10/31!
Here's the list of US Sephora locations ColourPop will be available*:
*Disclaimer: At this time, ColourPop will not be sold in any of the Canada store locations but will be available for purchase on Sephora.ca.
@KatieBT I have never tried Colourpop so I am super excited for this collab!
I'm hoping for a highlighter (of course!) and can't wait to try their eyeshadows! I've had my eye on a couple of their recent palettes, but they keep selling out before I can order them! 🙂
BTW - Where is @StephaniLynn aka the Colourpop Queen? 🙂
Well, then I am super glad I tagged you! @StephaniLynn 💗💗💗
omg so excited their colors are insane and it's so affordable!
I'm thrilled by this news. I've wanted to try ColourPop but I don't like buying without ever having tested the formula before.
I hope that the creamy shadows and Lillie st is will be available at Sephora!
So excited! I love Colourpop, their poppies are some of my favorite formulas, and their eyeshadows are soooo pigmented! Can't wait to see how they collaborate with Sephora!
This is so amazing! I am excited!!
I am so stoked! Especially because there are no ColourPop stores in Canada (that I know of atleast) so it's hard to get a hold of them unless you order online! Can't wait to be able to just walk in and pick a lippie and go! No more waiting for weeks! 🙂
I'm excited to be able to see their products in person before purchasing! However, it just doesn't make sense to me from a brand point of view. I LOVE that Sephora is different from Ulta in that when I go to Sephora, I can expect the same, high-end experience every time. It really sets their customer experience apart from just shopping at say Target or CVS. I just feel like ColourPop is better suited for Ulta. And before anyone says that it's a money making thing, my assumption is that margins on their products can't be that high. A SuperShock eyeshadow, for example, is $5.00. Sephora will buy them at wholesale pricing, so say $2-$3 a piece, so they're only making $2-$3 on every unit sold, and after you factor in shipping, overhead, and other fixed costs, their margin gets even smaller. I'm sure they've done the math and it makes sense financially, but I wonder if it makes so much sense to cheapen their name to make some more money. Like I wonder if the costs they will incur by selling ColourPop could be put to better use in marketing, educating their employees, COCA (cost of customer acquisition), etc.
@amandatavares2 I believe ColourPop is coming to Ulta too... I thought I saw it in the Beauty News thread.
@amandatavares2 Funny you mentioned Ulta! Adding Color Pop to the brands they carry does seem really out of place because of the price point, and because Sephora doesn't generally add indie brands to their store. Ulta, on the other hand, is constantly adding new brands to their inventory, and they do have wider range of price points than Sephora. Anyway, I'll let you guess what kind of correlation I think there is between how Ulta's been growing and Sephora's decision to carry Colour Pop.
I honestly don't think Colour Pop products are the best. They've creased on me, but the pigmentation is good, but then they also have the smallest amount of product in them. I think it's a totally fun impulse buy but I know I won't be repurchasing any Color Pop items any time soon.
