The March Favorites Thread 2019

Happy Spring! I am happy we’re starting to see a little sunshine here in SF so we can bring out our bright makeup and flower prints. We loved learning about your February favorite products so we’re going to continue again for the month of March! This thread is a place for everyone to share and discuss the products they reached for the most in March and were most impressed by.

Here are my March Favorite products:

  • Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist 2.53 oz/ 75 mL
  • SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask
  • DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni™ Retinol Cream
  • GIORGIO ARMANI BEAUTY - Luminous Silk Foundation
  • PAT MCGRATH LABS - LUST: Lip Gloss - Gold Allure
  • PAT MCGRATH LABS - Mothership II Eyeshadow Palette – Sublime

Which products were your March faves? Show & please tell!

Re: The March Favorites Thread

If it's creamy than the NARS - The Multiple - Orgasm

is great for blush and gives a lovely natural flush 🙂 I love it so much! @Kim888

Re: The March Favorites Thread

I didn't post in January and February but have a few products that stood out to me in March.

bareMinerals Original Mineral Veil Talc-Free Loose Setting Powder Illuminating Mineral Veil Considering I broke my makeup no buy (I originally wasn't going to buy replacements but looks like I am now) for this product, I think it deserves a mention. Honestly I haven't tried many setting powders so another could be better. But for me, whether I pair it with their foundation, a BB/CC cream, or just over SPF, it gives me a nice airbrush finish.

Another shout out for bareMinerals. The Soft Focus Face Brush has been great in March. I use a variety of blush brushes but this brush paired specifically with my panning blush shade for the month (angelic from the Tarte 2017 Holiday Blush Bazaar) is a winning combo.

Lastly, the gratis package I received - thanks @TeamBIC  - contained FARMACY - Freshen Up All-Natural Deodorant. I've been curious about natural deodorant but never tried it. Well this might convert me. I still wish it performed better every day since I feel not as fresh in the afternoon (though my skin may still be transitioning) but it is PHENOMENAL during a workout. So happy to have this product.

Re: The March Favorites Thread

@ShortErica I am still loving the farmacy deodorant too. I want to try the Kopari coconut one next.

Re: The March Favorites Thread

@ShortErica I've been really interested in natural deodorants and recently picked up the Farmacy Freshen Up All Natural Deodorant as well. I love the fresh smell, too. It's perfect for after a workout. <333

Re: The March Favorites Thread

How long have you been using the Farmacy? @ShortErica when I switched to natural, I think it took me about 2-3 weeks (shout-out to all my friends and family who stuck out that transition period), before everything had totally normalized and I was used to it. Which made me very concerned as to what I was putting on beforehand if it took that long to adjust off of it 😰 haven’t looked back since though!

Re: The March Favorites Thread

I think I received the package on the 14th and then used it the next day on the 15th. So not even 2 weeks yet @cianni

Re: The March Favorites Thread

Oh it’s doing REALLY well then!! @ShortErica

Re: The March Favorites Thread

Re: The March Favorites Thread

@BrendaBT  Thanks for keeping the thread going! I missed out on posting my February favs but here are my current March favs 🙂

  • PAT MCGRATH LABS - Mini LUST: Gloss™ Trio
  • AQUIS - Aquis + Sephora Striped Lisse Luxe Hair Turban
  • KVD Beauty Super Pomade Vegan Eyeliner, Shadow & Brow Pigment Medium Brown- a new favorite that will be replacing my ABH Dipbrow as soon as I finish it. It's so much easier and creamier than ABH, it's almost hard to believe!
  • SEPHORA COLLECTION 12H Intense Ink Brush Tip Liquid Liner 01 Black-another new favorite that will be replacing my HG Stila liner as it works just as well for a little more than half the price.
  • NATASHA DENONA - Bloom Blush & Glow Palette-STUNNING highlights that I have been using almost daily now. I can't get over how amazing they look on the skin!
  • KOPARI - Coconut Body Milk
  • Marc Jacobs Nail Laquer in "Sunday's Cool"

Re: The March Favorites Thread

@gonerogue, the Natasha Denona palette is gorgeous! 🤩 Ohhh, good to know about the Sephora Collection liner - the Stila liner is a favorite of my SIL and a couple of friends; I’ll pick up a couple of the SC liner - one for me, one for them and will see how it compares for all of us! 👍🏼

Re: The March Favorites Thread

@gonerogue thanks for the tip on the KVD! I’ve been going back and forth on my ABH forever, but a creamier formula that’s easier to use?? SOLD. If only the dipbrow didn’t last an eternity LOL I’ve been using my current one forever it feels like

Re: The March Favorites Thread

@cianni

I know the feeling! It feels like I’ve had mine since 2012 and I’m still struggling to finish it. The KVD one will use less product than ABH because it’s so pigmented so I would imagine it will last double the amount of ABH 😂

Re: The March Favorites Thread

LOL @gonerogue I have my ABH in my pan it 2019 but it’s gonna be in my pan it 2029 at this rate 😭

Re: The March Favorites Thread

ROTFL ❤️ <3<3 @cianni Those will be my eye shadow palettes, for sure!  🙂

Re: The March Favorites Thread

It’s not really new, but I’ve been really reaching for my NARS - Ignited Eyeshadow Palettea TON recently. It’s just been really versatile and the size is perfect for a purse. Thank you BIC team for generously sending it to me in gratis a few months ago! I use some of the shimmers as highlight too 😉

ive been on a low buy which means no new releases for me, BUT I have discovered a new love, which is the KIEHL'S SINCE 1851 - Ultra Facial Toneri love that it’s gentle and contains squalane! No more post-cleansing tight feeling! And no alcohol too which is important to me.

im also back on my Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62 Bum Bum Hair & Body Refillable Perfume Mist 8 oz/240 mLvibes now that it’s getting to spring. I love to mist it over my hair. It’s a subtle way to smell like a vacation (and people always notice). When I’m done this one I may go for the SOL DE JANEIRO - Coco Cabana Body Fragrance MistI like the scent (the popcorn smell fades out a bit), but I don’t like the consistency of the cream so I’ll stick with the original Bum Bum cream for body lotion.

I also FINALLY got my hands on a SEPHORA COLLECTION - #LIPSTORIES

I have so many lip products I couldnt justify purchasing another one, but the reviews across the BIC (specifically the 100 days of lipstick challenge) finally got me and I caved. I’d been on the hunt for a perfect brown lipstick k, so I figured it was the perfect time to try, and the price is perfect. I picked up Yum Yum and it’s a gorgeous brown. My only thing is that it needs a liner or a lip brush because I made a huge mess applying straight from the bullet. For $10 CAD though it was more than worth it. Tje formula is gorgeous and creamy and lasts longer than I thought it would given the finish. A 10/10!!
