Cozy season has arrived, Beauty Insider Community, and I don’t know about you, but I’m more than ready to bundle up! 🐻 October has gone by in a flash, but I still managed to squeeze in my share of shopping time and trying some new (or just new-to-me) products. In fact, I found myself reaching for lots of newness this month, and my faves reflect that!

Here are the products that got the most mileage this month:

Another mix of new to me and tried-and-true beauties for this month’s favorites. These standouts also have the distinction of being part of my fall / winter travel essentials @AlexBT✈️

  • Tatcha The Serum Stick Line-Smoothing Treatment & Touch Up Balm 0.28 / 8g - the recycled air inside a plane does not do my skin any favors. This stick is rich without making me look greasy, helps hydrate my skin in the dry cabin air, and is super convenient when I’m traveling by myself (and don’t have someone to block a face mist from inadvertently getting into stranger’s personal space😲😬😣). It's not great over makeup but I try to keep my makeup pretty minimal when flying - moisturizer, sunblock, a little concealer (to cover redness around my nose and any breakouts I may be experiencing), and a tinted lip balm.

  • Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Liquid Blurring Balm Setting Spray is a marvelous multi-tasker. I use it to set, blur and meld my makeup together.

  • Eadem Le Chouchou Exfoliating + Softening Peptide Lip Balm - Pain au chocolat exfoliates, moisturizes and adds a hint of color and shine, all with a subtle scent of a chocolate croissant (and without the calories) 😉

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@itsfi Thanks for sharing your dreamy faves!

I am so tempted to buy allllll the Eadem balms (one of my office friends and I were going down a lip balm rabbit hole on the site between meetings yesterday!), but I keep reminding myself of the sea of balms already swimming around at the bottom of every purse I own. I'm really loving the metal applicator that a handful of brands are adopting lately...

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

Not sure if I formally mentioned this as a favorite pre-shampoo tx...I use it overnight.

All my liquid liner pens dried up, so I have been using Maybelline my friend gave me.

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@greeneyedgirl107 Nice faves! I need to get better at pre-shampoo/hair masking treatments!

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@AlexBT I find them really convenient!

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@greeneyedgirl107 Ah I've seen a youtuber using the OGX as a pre shampoo as well, but you're the first real person who's mentioned it.... I'll have to do a search through my stash and see if I still have this one kicking around!

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@missjeanie I really don't do social media, but from what I can tell Abbey Yung rec"d this and it's gone viral.  She just released a set with ogx, and the oil is in it.

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@greeneyedgirl107 Yes!  That was her.  I could see her face (and gorgeous hair) in my mind, but her name was escaping me.

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@missjeanie I've seen many of her videos...she's the only influencer I've done that with.

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

Love that Slip 6-pack set @AlexBT! What am I saying, I love Slip hair ties, period! My biggest problem is with losing track of them, which I don't understand since I feel like I keep them everywhere around the house. 🤣 Back to that 6-pack set, love all the colors they included in that pack.

And a resounding YES!!! to the Rhode lip treatment. Salty Tan is a gorgeous soft mauve!! 😍 I'm so happy they  made it part of the permanent collection - I can stop painstakingly rationing the one I have with each use and pick up another during the sale!

About the new Charlotte Tilbury matte setting spray, would you say it gives a true matte effect or a more demi-matte look?

Just got back from being away for a few days and am getting my bearings, but will be back in a jif with my faves for the month!

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@itsfi LOL I have the same problem with the hair ties (and all hair ties, really). It was a feat to find two at the same time just for the picture. 🤣 Funny how I have the easiest time finding them when I don't currently need one. I love the patterned ones you have!

I would say it's demi-matte (or maybe I'm just not shaking it long enough to "activate" it). For context, I'd say the mattifying effect is not as strong as the One/Size spray.

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

My faves this month are:

Curlsmith Bond Curl Rehab Hair Salve 8 oz / 237 mL. I've been using the sample from the Rewards Bazaar.  This is really bringing out the waves/curls in my hair even better than the Living Proof Triple Bond Complex Leave-in Hair Treatment 1.5 oz / 45 mL

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator Refill Pack 2.6 oz/74 ml Refill Pouch   My fave exfoliator!  It keeps my skin fresh and clear.

SEPHORA COLLECTION Acne Treatment Gel 1 oz / 30 mL.  Love this salicylic acid.  I always keep a backup on hand!

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask – Intense Hydration Lip Treatment with Vitamin C Matcha Bubble Tea  A great night time moisturizer for my very dry lips.

LANEIGE Lip Glowy Balm – Lightweight Hydration Lip Treatment with Shea Butter (I have the peach flavor).  The peach flavor, which Sephora no longer carries, is my fave.  This balm keeps my lips moisturized during the day.

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@Titian06 Aww I have the peach Laneige balm, too! Maybe it'll return some day... 🙏🏼

Love hearing about that Curlsmith hair salve - I feel like I've tried so many different product "cocktails" to bring out my waves over my lifetime (lol), so I'll have to add this to the list to experiment with!

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

I love the Matcha Lip Mask too, @Titian06 .

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@CorgiMommy @Titian06  Me three. I don’t understand what ppl complain about. It smells just liked the drink. 🥰 I’m using it at the moment.

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

I always love reading up on some BIC favorites. I am unable to link but here are my October standouts:

  • Kerastase Blond Absolu Strengthening Hair Mask for Very Damaged Blonde Hair- pretty expensive but so worth the money. My hairdresser is always impressed at how soft and healthy my hair is on appointment days and this deserves most of the credit
  • Kerastase Elixir Ultime Refillable Hydrating Hair Oil
  • Kerastase Nutritive 8H Magic Night Serum Hydrating Treatment for Dry Hair
  • Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Refreshing Pore Mask for Purifying Pore Care- not only is the jar HUGE, the mask itself helps my face feel "cleaner" and it could be in my head but I also feel like it's been helping with random breakouts
  • CosRX Master Patch Intensive Hydrocolloid Patches- Long story short, I suffer from food allergies and these help my face from all the itching and bumps I get when I eat something I am allergic to. After a night or two of wearing these on bumps, they are usually gone and don't come back. Hands down the best pimple patches I have tried to date.

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@gonerogue Hiiiiii! Great faves - I was just thinking how I'm excited to break open a fresh Kerastase oil because I'm down to the last few drops of the Olaplex oil that's been in my rotation lately.

That pore mask sounds amazing - I need to try!

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@AlexBT  The Olaplex oil is also amazing 😍 definitely recommend the face mask! For the price point, you really can’t go wrong ☺️

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@gonerogue Love all of your Kerastase products.  I was late to the game with the brand but they've been so lovely.

Re: Monthly Favorites: October 2025 Edition!

@missjeanie  It’s never too late to up the hair game! I didn’t try Kerastase until the BIC team sent me the oil a while back as gratis and I haven’t gone back to anything else since. My salon switched from Davines to Kerastase as well so I’m surrounded by the brand at home and at the salon now 🤩
