Moisterizer Or Face Oil First?

I've done extensive research and it's so conflicted so I'm asking ya'll. do you use moisterizer and then face oil or the other way around. I currently apply oil and then moisterizer, but am I doing it all wrong? is my moisterizer able to penetrate and sink through the oil?

Hey there! A few months ago, Huda Kattan (of Huda Beauty) posted a video on Instagram and YouTube on the proper order to maximize the effects of your skincare. According to her, you should moisturize then use oil. This is because the molecules in oils tend to be larger than the molecules in moisturizers, which means your moisturizer won't absorb as well into your skin if you were to start with oil; however, I personally don't see a difference in my skin using oil before or after moisturizing. @ashleydonna For me I found using an oil before and after moisturizer worked best for my skin type. I would test it out and see what works for you.

There's no right answer to this question. Either way is acceptable. 😉

If you're happy with oil before moisturizer, how it feels on your skin both immediately and over time, then by all means, it's a perfectly fine order for you. You aren't ruining your moisturizer or your skin.

Heck, I split the difference and mix 'em both in my hand and apply them together 😱🤣
