Hello BIC! I'm Taylor, the new BIC intern.

                        IMG_2375.JPG

What’s up glamazons? My name is Taylor - I’m a senior attending the University of Michigan Ross Business School and have been beauty obsessed for as long as I can remember. This summer I am interning for the Beauty Insider Community and I couldn’t be more excited. I have the pleasure of working with some beautiful, creative women that have already taught me so much about Community.

Growing up in the performing arts and competing in and winning a national beauty competition has made an indelible impression on my interests and aspirations in the beauty industry. As president and producer of a fashion organization at school, I make it my business to rave about new and trending products on the market and engage with like-minded people. Working side-by-side with other fashionphiles means I get to hear about different styles and perspectives so I can make the absolute best decision on my next **you’re giving me life** product. I have a feeling I will feel right at home with all of you!

I’m most excited to learn about and share all of my college-student, acne-fighting, stress-balancing, going-out-on-the-town, and natural-hair woman brands and products. Please send me your holy grails!

Also, I may be far from home, but any Wolverines on here?!

Re: Hello BIC!

Welcome, @TayBT!  Hope you have fun during your internship!

My holy grails right now due to the heat and humidity are Living Proof Humidity Shield, and Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask.  🙂

Re: Hello BIC!

Thank you!! @greeneyedgirl107 I am having a great time:)

Awesome holy grails just in time for summer!

RE: Hello BIC!

First and foremost....GO BLUE!!! Taylor is my best friend and sister, and ALWAYS keeps it poppin! Looking forward to your posts, and interacting with my fellow beauty lovers. My NUMBER ONE go-to is the Dior Blackout mascara. Having naturally curly lashes, this mascara lengthens and makes my lashes bold and luscious. My next go-to would definitely be La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme. I absolutely love it, and feel incomplete if I don’t use it everyday!

Re: RE: Hello BIC!

Hey bestfriend! ❤️ @cdotshel Thank you so much for your reply and sharing your fav holy grail products!! I would have to agree that I love the Dior Blackout mascara just as much as you do. I carry it everywhere...faithfully! If you're looking for bigger, bolder, longer lashes they definitely are the product for you. Can't wait to hear you share other tips and tricks to other beauty lovers like me!

Re: Hello BIC!

Hello @TayBT, welcome!! ❤️

Two of my holy grail items of the moment are Lancome Definicils mascara, and the Bite Beauty Lip Mask in Maple.

Re: Hello BIC!

Hi @angel7594, thank you!! ❤️

Yesss, love it! Thanks for sharing. I love various Bite Beauty lip glosses! My favorite  are the Oyster Pearl and Bronze Pearl. Their lip scrub is great too!

RE: Re: Hello BIC!

Definicils is a great staple ❤️

Re: Hello BIC!

@TayBT Hi, welcome aboard! My go to when I get a pimple (yup, those suckers aren’t just for teenagers unfortunately!) is Kate Somerville EradiKate Acne Treatment. Just a small dab on a potential breakout and it’s gonee in no time. Love this stuff!

Can’t wait to see some inspiring looks from you! Oh, and fwiw Hurricane 4 life over here 😉

Re: Hello BIC!

Hey there! @LCResz thank you:)

I can always use acne treatment! Fighting off pimples before they happen is key! Thank you, I'll look into this further.

I can't wait to show you all some inspiring looks!;)

Re: Hello BIC!

Hey girl! I'm a Spartan, not a Wolverine, but I can always appreciate someone from home 🙂

Skincare: One of my holy-grail products for soothing and hydrating tired skin is SOS Thirst Quench serum from Caudalie. I've always had acne-prone combo skin, but never knew that hydration was my biggest problem! Now that my skin is much more moisturized on the regular, my acne has really cleared up and my t-zone is significantly less oily. Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta daily peels are also the bomb. The AHA's work on the surface while the BHA's work underneath to help heal acne and give you that glow. Glow Recipe's Watermelon Sleeping Mask is really fun and hydrating. Caudalie's Oil Cleanser has been a HUGE game-changer for me too, I can't recommend it enough. It took care of my oily t-zone and my dry patches along with the serum. Life changing.

Concealer: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer gives me LIFE. It blends out so well and is full coverage with such a lovely luminous finish.

Blush: NARS Orgasm is a cult fave for a reason. It's bendable, buildable, GORGEOUS color for all skin tones. I've been using it for years and years and 1 pan will last you a lonnnng time.

Eyeshadow: ColourPop Super Shock Shadows. OMG. The color payout is intense, the glitter is so on point, and you'll never have fallout because they are a cream base. There's nothing else like them. Plus, they come in every color in the spectrum. Every. Color.

Mascara: Too Faced Better Than Sex. Again, cult fave for a reason. I've tried others that claim to be dupes but nothing can beat it. Definition, length, AND volume?! Yes. DiorShow 3D+ Primer is also a godsend.

Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills tinted brow gel is top-notch. It makes my white eyebrows  look like I just had them colored at the salon. FRESH. Benefit Gimme Brow was also a game-changer for me. I used it before ABH but it was recalled for several months while they redeveloped the formula, so I had to find an alternative. ColourPop Brow Boss pencils are fantastic. They work EXACTLY the same as the ABH brow wiz pencil for 1/3 of the price. Love.

Highlighter: Any shade of Super Shock Highlighter from ColourPop. The ColourPop ones are creamy and delicious and melt into your skin. They are super easy to blend and apply best using just your finger.

Eyeliner: Kat von D's tattoo liner in Trooper. It won't budge or transfer all day long and is so easy to use.

Lips: Again...ColourPop. Any of their lip products compares easily to higher end items but for so. much. cheaper. Gloss, liquid lips, lipstick, sheer tints....they have it all in a super wide range of colors.

Foundation: I'm still on the hunt for my true perfect foundation. Ladies, let a girl know what you found to be your HG foundation!

Re: Hello BIC!

Hey girly! @lilybee25 It's okay, half my family are Spartans so you can imagine how it is during sporting events! 🙂

I appreciate how thoughtful and detailed you listed your go-to-products!!! I love all of those brands which means I'll be on the hunt for my next product in each of those categories!

I'll be on the lookout for some HG foundations soon!

Re: Hello BIC!

Hey @TayBT Welcome to the BIC 😄 I hope you love it here as much as I do! It’s such a fun place to chat and share product experiences.

My HG acne healer are the DDG extra strength alpha Beta peels. They contain AHA and BHA to help improve my skin on so many levels and incorporating them into my skincare routine has made a big difference! ☺️

Re: Hello BIC!

Yess!!!! Those peels are amazing. They have helped take care of my acne scarring. I use the gentle strength because I have really sensitive skin.

Re: Hello BIC!

I trust you all!! I will look further into this:) I too have sensitive skin and have to be cautious of what products I use in my regime.

Re: Hello BIC!

@TayBT my skin is fairly sensitive and this didn’t bother it, however, since everyone has different skin needs I would definitely do a patch test first, perhaps with the Universal or sensitive version 🙂

i hope you find so many other helpful tips throughout the forum, it’s incredible how much knowledge is available here! ❤️

Re: Hello BIC!

Hey! @bakeamuffin Thank you so much for the warm welcome 🙂 I love it already and I can tell its going to grow on me even more as time goes on.

Thanks for sharing! I haven't heard of that product, but it sounds interesting. I'll look into it further! I'm always excited to learn about new products to improve my skincare regime. Thanks again!:)

Re: Hello BIC!

Welcome to BIC, @TayBT! So happy you are here 🙂

As a Buckeye, I'll try not to hold it against you that you're from That Team Up North 😉

Re: Hello BIC!

Hey! @scott1201 Thanks so much, I'm happy to be here:)

Go Blue!;)
