Black Friday Preview 2018!

Can you believe Black Friday is almost here?!   I know I’m not the only one who is excited about all the juicy deals so I wanted to give you all a little sneak peek at what’s to come from Sephora this year. Spoiler: We had a really hard timing picking a handful of products. The Sephora App will feature a larger list of Black Friday goodies starting this Friday, 11/16, so I highly recommend downloading the app if you want to hear what is coming first.

Back to the products! Some of the Community’s favorite brands are offering Black Friday deals including Pat McGrath, Peter Thomas Roth, Tarte, Too faced, and many more! Similar to previous years, we are seeing a lot of minis which we are so excited about! These are great for small gifts, stocking stuffers and trialing new product before buying the full-sized.

Here is just a little taste of four products you’ll see on Black Friday and in the app preview this Friday.   The following will be available in the US and Canada:

This Nest set comes with a 0.95 oz candle and 0.2 lf oz roller ball in the yummy scent, Black Tulup. The scent is described as “seductive” and is a warm floral with hints of black amber plum, pink pepper and Japanese violet. The scent features undertones of Indonesian jasmine and patchouli. Our entire team is obsessed with the scent and for a value of $25 USD and $33 CAN (half off!) we will definitely all be picking up this set!

MEH. This year dont seem that good. even last year for "weekly wows" there was an eyeshadow pallette every week for a couple months. And if we wanted the sephora play type sets, we could have gotten them on the rouge, vib etc sale for around the black friday price. I am only going to grab a couple things this year, vs last year i was buying all kinds of stuff. ..Seems like Sephora has something going on with it and it dont seem to enticing to the ladies and gents buying...let alone only 2 samples now as well.

I agree.  I usually spend at least $300 during the Black Friday deals on Sephora, but each year the product selection is declining, IMO.  Oh well, guess I will save some money.

okay..so i see this is just a few sales....phew...cool. i was so let down...we should take bets on how quick the pmg and nest goes out of stock..lol...i hope they put a limit on them, or have a large enough stash, so all whom wants one can get it

Black friday is on the 23rd Im not sure why the mods cant confirm this. You can google it as well, black friday is he day after american thanksgiving. Sephora BF sale has always been on this day day as well @Marathoner422

@Marathoner422 I’m in Canada too! Typically we get Black Friday deals on the weekend of American thanksgiving, so the 23rd of November!

i agree...nothing very good thisbyear it seems. heck, even last year for "weekly wows" they were having amazing deals on eyeshadow pallettes..this year its just meh. seriously like if we wanted those little sample sets for 15.00 , we could have gotten them during the sale for around that price...just not really good this year

Thanks for posting @BrendaBT! So no kvd duo for Canada? I miss the days where almost everything was $12 or $13 Cad though. I might pick up PM mini, I have been eyeing Elson and it swatched so nice in you..though $20 seems alot compared to the trio mini set, $15 would have been a "deal". Can anyone guess what shade/size is the tarte blush, couple years back they did a similar set with a full sized lippie and blush for $13cad!

@Anewxa    not that the advertised estimated values are always accurate, but since Sephora is advertising the the set as having a value of $32, I think it's very likely both the blush and mascara are deluxe sizes.

I took the sizes of the blush and mascara from the most recent Tarte promo as a guesstimate for sizes

Mascara (5 mL/0.16 oz)

Blush (2.2 g/0.07 oz)

and reached a value of $36.36, which is not too far from the $32.

Ya a lot of these are over priced for what they are, specifically the ones with 2-3 minis. There some good ones in there though @Anewxa

@BrendaBT:  Would you know what is the size of the mini Pat McGrath lipstick?  Is it the same size as the minis that were recently offered in trios of nudes and bold shades?

Yes, it's the same size (0.042oz) as the ones in the mini set. Indicated in the spoiler photo in this post (the words are really small I know lol). I don't know why it's priced at 20 CAD tho, it's average 11.6 CAD for the ones in the mini set. Probably because it's red and limited edition 😕

@lainelaine84, thanks for the response!  You have much better eyesight than I do.  😉  Agreed that the mark-up for the single mini is a bit...questionable, in comparison to the value of the mini trios.

I really wish we could put the products in our cart even if we couldn't buy them yet.  I'm going to be traveling in Europe on Black Friday with relatively limited access to WiFi.  I'd like to start to shop now!

Am I the only one that thinks too many of the spoilers from todaycontain trial sizes from Beauty Offers? I take advantage of those offers every time I order so I already have received a ton of these either alone or in sets from Beauty Offers. Some of these are just plainly recent Beauty Offers (free with purchase) being sold at around $10 or $15. Also the Play sets are not exclusive to Black Friday, already have some of those too. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a few really really good deals in here but I’m a little underwhelmed with some of it.

I definitely think so as well. Im not paying $15 for 2-3 minis I get for free and ones they’ve given so many times before. The tarte and too faced sets seem to be particularly ridiculous to me. Sample bts mascara and peach primer for $17 cad.. The ones that look to have full size products are pretty good at least. @gillian321

Yes exactly, there are some really good full size options here and also some minis that I think are more unique and worth it, but also quite a few that I’m like hold on, this $13 tiny trial size was free with purchase a week or two ago haha.
