In agreement here @prettyinpa , @veronika23 is an invaluable member of BIC, wish there was a way to recognize her in a way that she deserves. The hours she must spend keeping everything updated, all the while engaging with everyone meaningfully rather than just idle talk. I also know that if she recommends checking something out, it’s definitely worth my time!

@prettyinpa @TeamBIC It's true! This BIC community alone is HUGEEEEEE with new members joining literally every hour. I understand the reach of Instagram/facebook/twitter is on a whole different scale but people still come HERE. This is a COMMUNITY run forum. 

@veronika23 puts a copious amount of time into this community. 

I give free hair advice all the time and product recommendations, @eshoe and @itsfi are the masking queens. @Tamara76 always has the newest releases, @bakeamuffin is all about clean skin care, @RGbrown is the lipstick queen. Sounds like a pretty good #SephoraSquad to me.

I agree with @prettyinpa  and @mermadelove , that @veronika23 is great for keeping all the BIC informed about so many new products and where to find it in the US and Canada!!  I agree that everyone isn't on IG and it would be nice to have a community based Influenster system if possible!! 😊

It just makes so much sense to have a community based reviewer system in addition to the IG one. BIC is already in place, there wouldn't be any need to set up a separate system and it takes advantage of an already established set of community members. Thanks for agreeing with me, ladies, I hope it comes to pass. It would be so nice to recognize @veronika23's years of service.

I have to ask (and not certainly combatively...this is strictly curiosity)...how would it vary from the current Gratis? I get the feeling that's what Gratis is meant to do...thank the active posters, plus build some Community buzz for new products. Granted, sometimes I think Gratis is a little helter-skelter and a bit random in who gets picked for each box, and sometimes the selections could use some tweaking for recipients (fragrance being sent to someone who can't use any, or skincare for the wrong skin type, etc), but overall, I think Gratis kinda covers what you are talking about?

Now sure, if Sephora wants to pay me to post here, I might just have to take it lol 😛 But I think in the grand scheme of social media, BIC is still a tiiiiiiny microcosm compared to the reach of IG/Twitter, and that's what Sephora is looking to conquer next. 

My take on the whole thing (not that anyone asked lol) is that this is just another Influenster, and since I'm not on social media anyways, it's just one more thing I can ignore. Reviews on Sephora product pages are pretty much already ruined, so it's not like another paid-review program is gonna make them any worse 😛

@RGbrown-  No offense taken. I envision it more as the reviewer would receive products to review regularly, not randomly as the current gratis system works. I didn't mean that the community Influenster system would usurp the IG one, I understand that IG is way bigger than BIC, my suggestion is just another way to reach potential customers who are already coming to BIC anyways. Kinda like a multifaceted approach that reaches a group of Sephora customers that might be missed by putting all the "eggs" in the IG basket, so to speak.

Gotcha. Yeah, something like that would be nice, kind of a "Gratis with more structure". There are plenty of comments in the thread along the lines of "I don't IG" so yeah, they are missing out on at least a few folks.

I will second @prettyinpa ‘s nomination of @veronika23 To say her dedication and contributions are tireless would be an understatement!!!!!! I come to BIC before I ever go to Insta or Twitter or Pinterest. I frankly find those difficult to navigate ( I’m aging myself I know) and love coming to BIC for sound advice, newness and inspiration from a great community with members I’ve grown to trust. V23 is definitely a standout!
