What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

undefined

Powder the lips with stunning dimension, shimmering radiance, and rich color. STELLAR’s must-have Stardust Lip Powder Palette includes three weightless, opaque lip powders that can be worn alone for a sheer, glistening look or combined together for ombre, saturated perfection. This buildable, blendable formula delivers essential moisture to lips, while creating a myriad of effects with its high pigment. For best results, exfoliate beforehand, and simply using the applicator included or your fingers, apply all over the lips for full color and a flawless finish. –Tracy J.

Thanks so much for the reviews and swatches!   I will have to check these out!  ❤️   @KatieBT

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

Nd Dr heard of lip powder.   Will have to stop bybyo give it a look over.  Could be fun

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

Thanks @KatieBT!

I remain perplexed about the possibility of them being moisturizing, but I guess they could fall in the texture realm of a buttery shadow, that has an almost creamy feel?

Thanks for the swatches and first impressions! I really look forward to hearing people's experiences with them, they are definitely interesting!

Also, are they eye-safe? As people have used shadows on lips, it would be a nice extra to be able to use their powders elsewhere!

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

Thanks Katie, those swatches look great!!!

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

@NotCrocker @RoseCharlie @Tamara76 I tried these out and they are about as moisturizing as a powder could get, they feel very smooth and don't chalk up at all but definitely not comparable to a lip balm from my first impression.

@Mochapj@Anonymous @AMK721 Here are some swatches! They are super shimmery and not over-the-top although I bet if you layered these over a lipstick you could create a metallic lip.

From top to bottom: Gold, Pale Pink, Burgundy, Red, Fuchsia, Silver/Gold

@starletta8 I can't wait to see what you do with these! I think they would be so gorgeous under any shade of lipstick.

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

I have never tried lip powders either.  I have used some eyeshadows before for some specific looks but like @Mcakes said, how do you reapply it easily?  I think I would definitely want to try a sample first and if it was long lasting, I might consider purchasing.  I can't wait to see what other people have to say who have tried it.

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

I saw Stellar posting these on their IG a while ago and I've been curious to see them in action!

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

I recall seeing lip powders back in the day, but don't think I have ever tried them.  I am also not usually a fan of lip palettes as they aren't as convenient/easy to apply as lipstick/gloss, but am super intrigued by the idea that a powder product can be moisturizing.  I will have to try this soon! 🙂

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

Does anyone remember this? I'm guessing early 2000's. Powder and liquid lipstick by Chanel. "Ligne et Couleur des Lèvres" professional lip basics. This is Indice Beige (nude).undefined

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

I'm so nostalgic now.. @eshoe

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

It seems like a fun novelty item, or for a day I'd have lots of chances to update in the proper environment, but I'm always hesitant of lip products that I can't quick touch up with a swipe in a public bathroom or pocket mirror. That said I might need to try these for the fun alone!

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

I stopped by one of the few stores that carries the line in-store, swatched these (ooh, they're soft), and somehow both followed me home. I can't wait to try them out!

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

They look amazing but I have never tried them. Clinique has a new one I just saw on their website and I was thinking of trying. This Sephora set look like a better option though!

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

Does anyone remember when Too Faced or Tarte had a lip powder/clear balm kit? It was in a little adorable box, and was sold at Sephora in the late 90s or early 00s. I was so intrigued but never tried it. Guess I can now though! I've used blushes as a lipstain or highlighters as a topper, but that's always been with a balm or mixed with a traditional lipstick. It's interesting to see a product that is just powder.

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

I hope someone posts pictures, I'd like to know more about lip powders.  Like many others have said, this looks interesting.  I'm not sure how practical it would be for me because I prefer a lipstick or gloss that I can just throw in my purse and grab to put on without looking.

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

I never knew such a thing exists, but now I am intrigued!

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

I've never heard of lip powder.  This sounds interesting!

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

Oh NEAT-O!!!! I love when I see a totally new product I've never even heard of that is SO COOL! : ) I like the idea - could be used to switch it up and create all sorts of looks.  I would definitely try this I have super dry lips but I love the idea - as long as it wasn't too drying I think it sounds great! : )

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

Not sure about how it'll add moisture, but I've certainly used more than a few pigments and shadows on my lips as highlights!

I hope this isn't an online exclusive- I'll go and play in-store first if possible. My Alex 9 Drawers are overflowing as it is.

Re: What’s New Thursday: Stardust Lip Powder

I've used lipstick powders on the past and they were certainly interesting. It was one of the first ways to get really intense color payoff. Most lipsticks at the time I first tried lip powder (90's) looked beautiful in the tube but weren't very pigmented once applied to your lips.

It was kind of a hassle to keep reapplying the clear waxy top coat, but I loved how bold I could get my lips. I'm definitely interested in seeing how far the formulas have come
