Sephora Same Day Free in-store pickup now available

This is available. I am so excited as I have been wanting this for so long. Oohoo. If you guys have tested please share your experiences here. I am thinking this is app only or may be not but I didn't see it in the website. I am not sure if promotions can be picked up too. The store I can pick up is the Union Square in New York. It is so convenient and the closest for me. Only one stop by subway and on the way home.

No online promotions. You can either pick up at the store free (again I don't see the benefit if I am going to the store anyway to pickup why would I purchase online? I don't see the items that are online only for this basket. So I can't even order online only items) or you can enter a delivery address for same day delivery for $5.50.

If there aren’t any promos/samples or online-only items I guess the main advantages are being able to get in and out of the store quickly and not having to wait for shipping/worry about packages getting lost/damaged. The info I saw from Sephora said that you go to the front of the line (if there’s a queue outside), they take you to the pick up counter, and you pay for it there.

Does anyone know if you can order items that are in that store but not online? (I used to be able to find some limited edition/sale items in store after they’d already sold out online - that’d be my main reason for in-store shopping now if there are no testers)

How are you getting to this option? I checked my app and it does not seem to allow me to choose a check out in store at all 😞

I just played around it on my phone. It doesn't seem like all items are available for this option and you cannot add promotions or samples. I am not sure what the benefit is. If I am going to the store anyway I would just buy it there? I wanted the SLIP pillow case which is not available at any stores in Manhattan but couldn't add it in this either. It is not available. Meh...
