Fresh Kombucha Event - Pics & Recap

Hi all, I don’t see a thread yet for this event so hope it’s okay I’m starting it off. Thank you to @KatieBT for inviting Toronto BIC members to attend!

The event was at Early Mercy in downtown Toronto. It was a beautiful evening for it...not too hot to enjoy the patio. There were drinks, nibbles, a kombucha station by Alchemy  Pickle Company, tea leaf reading, and various game stations (Fresh Beauty Jenga, tea bag toss!). I did the tea leaf reading (apparently there’s a man on a motorcycle in my future LOL) and I loved the kombucha station (will definitely look for this company at my farmers market). Alina, the cofounder of fresh beauty, was mingling with everybody. She’s lovely in person. The little touches in decor were awesome...the essence and Fresh was everywhere but it all fitted well in with the venue. Even the bathrooms were decked out with Fresh candles and hand cream.

There was a station for you to try and learn about the benefits of the kombucha essence (anti-pollution, hydration, luminosity, soothing, improved texture and more!). I really enjoyed the light watery of texture essences and like how I can add more layers if I feel my skin needs more. I already use several Fresh products (soy cleanser, lotus face cream, black tea eye cream, black tea infusion, and their many masks) so I’m excited to add this to my routine. We got a goodie bag with the kombucha essence (the extra large size that they don’t even sell in Canada yet!) and a bottle of Alchemy kombucha. So generous! Thanks again to Fresh Beauty, Sephora and the BIC mods for inviting us.

I had a great time too, even though I was by myself, was great to leave my comfort zone a little bit, I'm finishing editing a video that I put together about the event if you guys want I can share here.

I honestly love the product, I'm a big fan of the Fresh Rose deep hydration and I feel like this new one is a great compliment. I have sensitive skin and extra dry is doing a lot of good for my skin. so glad I had a chance to try it.

Hey guys! I wanted to test out the essence a bit before reporting back here and I can honestly say it's amazing!!! I've been using it morning and night since I've received it (7 times) I was breaking out pretty badly the week before the event and I'm a popper (worst habit) so I had really bad scarring left over. I don't know if this is all in my head or what, but my scars are barely visible now! I'm so shocked, my scars have never cleared up so quickly before and this is the only new product I have been using. Not only that but my face is super smooth, soft and feels nice and moisturized. I wish I took before and after pics :(. I absolutely love this essence and I'm sososososooo grateful we received it from the event! I'm definitely repurchasing this when I run out and I hope you guys will give it a try too! The event was amazing, I definitely felt like an LA beauty guru attending an event 😂. I really hope sephora continues to host events like these so others can have the amazing experience I did. I have so much respect an admiration for Sephora after this event and I'm so grateful I was able to have this once in a life time experience.❤️❤️❤️❤️

I guess I left early because I didn't get a gift bag. That's ok as it was still a cool event. Other's have already mentioned all the high points (kombucha, snacks, drinks, brand experts, etc) I just want to say that the event was gorgeous (see arrangement below). Early Mercy always struck me as a gross club/bar in my neighborhood (King St W) but it was actually beautifully decorated for this event. I could not believe how nice it looked. A true testament to Fresh and whoever they hired to host the event.

I am really glad I made it to yesterdays Fresh Beauty event as I had a lovely time, learnt a lot more about the brand and the Kombucha line along with meeting fellow BICer @sp1771. For those that don't know (like myself until yesterday) Fresh started 27 years ago as a body care line. 

Entrance  

At the entrance there were two lovely ladies providing more detail about the product which is available at Sephora and Nordstrom in Canada. The essence has a light hydrating feel to it and I can't wait to try it out. The anti-oxidants and fermented products along with the Kombucha help provide protection against environmental pollutants. 

The room had a great airy, dare I say Fresh feel to it making it easy to mingle. There was a fresh Kombucha stand, skincare Jenga among other games. There was

also a VERY popular palm reading stand. I didn't do it but the lady seems very thorough spending time with each person.

 I never thought of myself as a Kombucha fan but the cocktail was definitely up my alley. Can't wait to try the chilled bottle of Kombucha we got as part of our goodie bag this weekend. 

 I also spent some time chatting with Alina Roytberg, one of the founders, who was filled with knowledge and more then willing to share it. A few snippets of our conversation

- Her desert island product is the Soy Face Cleanser

- She often walks into a Sephora to buy Fresh products (she said - "Why shouldn't I pay retail!")

- Awareness of the importance of sunblock is now present but we should also be aware of the affects of every day pollution and air particles on our skin

- If you are short of time and want to multi-mask - apply a thin layer of the Umbrian Clay wait a while and then apply the Rose mask directly on top. Your skin will get the benefits of both and save some time!

- Lastly their products aren't developed where you have to use the entire range to see results, each product have their stand alone benefits and as a consumer I definitely appreciate that!

I would love to have met more BICers, but next time for sure!
