Ulta online vs in store?

Hey guys, so I am sort of an Ulta newbie and I just received a 20% off prestige coupon. I was planning on going to the store later today to pick up a few things I needed- mostly because I don’t want to spend more than $50 for free shipping, but I’m wondering about all of these great GWPs that they offer. Are they normally sold out in stores? Do I just show them the GWP barcodes on my phone and it’s no problem? Can I stack them in stores? Like the Clinique and the new It’s a 10 promo, etc. Any other tips you guys can share? Just want to get the best bang for my buck! Thank you!

Are they normally sold out in stores? I think you can find promos in-store longer than you can online, however, a lot of promos are online only.

Do I just show them the GWP barcodes on my phone and it’s no problem?
Yes.  As long as the coupon's expiration date has not passed there is no problem.

Can I stack them in stores? 
Yes you can stack coupons in store.

Like the Clinique and the new It’s a 10 promo, etc. Any other tips you guys can share?  Other tips?  Not really.  Some of the deals of the day ship free regardless of how much you spend, so check your cart to see if it will ship free.  Aside from 20% coupons, keep an eye out for points since points are cashback, and only cash out once you've hit 2000 points (unless your points are about to expire).  Happy shopping @ChristinaFL2001

Thank you for that useful information! I actually just got back from my local Ulta store and I have to say I’m a bit disappointed with my experience. The store was pretty messy and seemed unorganized so it was hard to find certain things I was looking for. Bad selection of Essie and hair products. They also didn’t carry the Tree Hut brand in store which is one of the things I was looking to get. To give them credit, the associates were very friendly and helpful, and I do think they are in the middle of inventory because there were slips of paper all over the shelves which could explain the messiness. Anyways, I ended up leaving empty handed so it looks like I’ll be doing my shopping online.

That's too bad you went during inventory. If you're like many of us I think you'll enjoy shopping them online and making a game of accumulating as many free gifts, BOGO products, point multipliers, and discount codes to get the most out of each purchase. The new Ulta monthly ad should be out anytime now, which makes it easier to plan purchases. This may have already been mentioned, but don't forget to have your account set up to receive emails as well as offers sent in the mail. I just received a postcard with a surprise 20% discount off an entire purchase to use in addition to one that was recently emailed. 🙂
