Sephora's Advent Calendar Question

Just opened December 3rd of the Sephora Advent Calendar and I'm not sure what it is. It looks like tape. Is it tape? Is it for beauty? I'm so confused.

If so, it's great for blocking off sharp lines for eyeliner wings and other graphic looks, and I'm sure there are other uses too 🙂
