Is Primer Necessary?

I am blessed with great skin. I don't get breakouts and I have only slightly dry area in my T zone. I've been using various facial primers and I only now started questioning if I even really NEED to use one. I always use Mac Fix + on my beauty blender and finish with UD All Nighter. I think it's personal preference, since primers only really exploded for consumer use in the last few years there were plenty of years where the average makeup user did not use them and was fine so if you don't feel like you need it or don't think it's extending your wear time then don't use it. 

I personally like using primer for two reasons: first my primer has spf and that's how I get my spf for my everyday life and second I have some bigger pores on my cheeks that I can really tell a noticeable difference in when I don't use primer.

Primers can be helpful but if your skin is already pristine then just having it evenly moisturized is enough.
