Electric Toothbrush

I’m considering buying a “connected” toothbrush for my DD13. She’s at that ‘rather do anything but brush my teeth’ stage and it’s been an issue we’ve had most of her life so far. Having a toothbrush that is connected via Bluetooth to an app that records how long she’s brushing etc is appealing as she is glued to her iPad. The toothbrush controls that tell her how long and when to move sections would be great too. Am considering an Oral B Genius 8000 series. Any feedback, reviews you can share in that or any other similar device are much appreciated. TIA

Re: Electric Toothbrush

I can't really remember which models I've had, so I can't really offer that kind of advice, but I've had many, and I never felt particular to any one of them. And I just wanted to say, I feel your pain. As a person who grew up loving to brush, even feeling a preoccupying need right after school and so on, it's difficult to understand a kid that doesn't seem to care.

With the kids, we've always had a good experience with electric toothbrushes. From expensive ones to disposable spin brushes, dental hygiene always picked up, especially when the brush was new. You might even consider the cheap spin brush route for novelty's sake, if there are any cute ones that attract her, just because a totally new one might restoke her interest every month or so. Or if she would be more fascinated with a fancy one, you might let her choose from a few models.

@CheerMomma Good luck!

Thanks @gingerleigh - you make some great points for consideration....and you're right - it does drive me mad!
