Perfume with lilac scent ?

Hi! I want to buy Aerin Lilac Path tomorrow, I love the scent but I am afraid it might be perceived as an "old lady" scent. Also, the staying power isn't very strong ... Any suggestions ? I liked Wisteria Blue by Nest too, but Lilac Path makes me feel more happy and optimistic than Wisteria Blue ... Any last minute suggestions on perfumes with Lilac ? Also, is the Aerin body lotion worth it?

@EllanaBeauty I've been fortunate to have two samples of Lilac Path by Aerin.  Unfortunately, I found that the lilac presence wasn't as large as predominant as I would have liked.  Of course, I have a weak sense of smell.

@EllanaBeauty  I love lilac perfume. Yves Rocher is the only one I’ve found that I’m not allergic to.

Re: Perfume with lilac scent ?

When people say “old lady” what they generally tend to mean the more dense, muskier scents of the past which Lilac Path is not. The Aerins are polished and unobtrusive.

I’m partial to Malle and so would recommend En Passant, done by Olivia Giacobetti (of Philosykos fame), an airy, airbrushed lilac, but the Aerin is definitely way more affordable. Both come in a travel size.

@EllanaBeauty - how many times have you worn Lilac Path on your skin?  I would suggest starting with a decant or sample to try enough so that you don't question whether or not it's too 'old lady'.  If you're doubting it now, then you may so later when you have a 3.4 oz. of Lilac Path sitting on your dresser collecting dust (I know this too well).

Aerin sells a rollerball for approx. $30.00 if you want to avoid investing in the $120-$170 off the top.   Also consider that this scent may be more seasonal and less wearable during the colder months.  Depending on your location, I just don't see this worn in any frigid weather.

I don't think Wisteria Blue is a good comparable to Lilac Path, but considering the style or essence of Lilac Path, I compare the purity more to one of the Jo Malone florals, like Orange Blossom, Wild Bluebell, or Red Roses... certainly not the notes themselves, just the pure, clean floral.  Best of luck.
