Moms Who Makeup

Hey moms! Do you make time to do your makeup everyday or just for special occasions? What about skin care routines?

RE: Daily Makeup?

I do during the week, I get up before my kids, just like 30 minutes before. That way I have time to put some make up on before school drop off and other errands. On the weekends if I don’t leave the house I will just put some powder on so I’m not a complete oil slick all day. Ha ha I like to have make up on if I’m leaving my house though. I’ve always been that way, since my teens and I’m 36 now.

RE: Daily Makeup?

That’s a great routine! I usually wake up before my kids too, I love to relax with a cup of tea and do my skin care routine and makeup in peace. It’s a great way to start the day!

I don't wear makeup except for special occasions-- I work from home & my daughter is 11 months. So I'll put on makeup if I'm going into the office or going out! And I love it, maybe more so than if I did it everyday. It feels really special. For normal errands I'll just do brows, mascara, and a tinted lip balm. But I do make time for skincare-- every morning and evening I do my routine (wash, tone, serum, moisturizer) and brush and/or pluck my brows and put on lip balm. Once or twice a week I do a mask. I am a mask addict-- I have so many, lol. Helps me feel a bit more together, well-groomed at least! 😂

RE: Daily Makeup?

Depends on what I’m doing that day, 90% of the time I do simple make up quick and easy due to my two year old boy always wanting to play with my make up, sometimes when he is down for a nap I gave a little fun and I dazzle it up!

RE: Daily Makeup?

I do minimal makeup for work just so I look polished and awake even though I’m exhausted. Haha! I use the Amore Pacific cushion which goes on fast and sheer, makes me look like I’ve just got a post facial glow, and is travel friendly for the go. Then Stila’s brow pen cuz its easy and mistake proof. Small strokes at a time and builds. Then curl my eyelashes and mascara to look awake! My go to lip is the Dior glow.

Re: RE: Daily Makeup?

Your work makeup mirrors my own. The only difference is that recently I started adding blush and/or eyeshadow (LO has been sleeping in while I get ready in he mornings).

Re: Daily Makeup?

my youngest will be 3 months on the 13th.  these days i only wear makeup when im going out or someone is coming over.  but i never skimp on skincare and i'm trying to mask once a week

RE: Re: Daily Makeup?

Skincare is something I won’t skip in either. I don’t mind not wearing makeup when my skin looks healthy and glowy ☺️

I have a 7yo and a 5mo...I definitely have to make time.....

I have a 7yo and a 5mo...I definitely have to make time...just not every day...I feel it's important to give my skin some rest...but the days I do do my makeup...it's always relaxing to me

Definitely! I find if I do my makeup every day I break out more often. It’s definitely more sensitive after having gone through all those hormonal changes.

I used to!! But now I do maybe three times a week, I have a third grader that's in a lot of extracurricular activities and a two year old that's always fussy!! Wish I could every day but lot of times there's not enough hours in a day!! But I definitely do for special occasions!

RE: Re: Daily Makeup?

2 is such a busy age! My daughter is 2 as well ☺️ I also have a 4 and 7 year old so I can relate to not having enough time in the day, there’s just always something to do, someone who needs help, a mess to clean, etc. It’s hard to carve out time for yourself!

I feel you there!! I have a 10, 3 and 2 year old,,,,,KILL...

I feel you there!! I have a 10, 3 and 2 year old,,,,,KILLEN ME LOL 😵 I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel,,,ha!

RE: Daily Makeup?

I make time!!! 3 hours of time. Not that it takes me 3 hours but you have to plan for the occasional mess ups and fixes. I do my face every day that I work and occasionally when I'm going out to run errands but rarely even then. I'm not scared to go without makeup like I know some are. I'll go to the grocery store just woken up and hair a mess but sometimes it's just nice to put on my best face.

RE: Daily Makeup?

I do my makeup everyday 😊💕 I try to make time for me

RE: Daily Makeup?

I find a big difference in my mood when I make time for me 😄

I hear you!

I hear you!

RE: Daily Makeup?

For work and when I go out yes , but if I’m home then I keep a bare face . If I’m rushed or just running errands I keep it very simple ( cc cream, mascara and eyebrows )

RE: Daily Makeup?

I enjoy a simple bb cream for running errands and things like that too. It doesn’t feel heavy on the face but helps hide those little imperfections and gives a more awake appearance haha 🙂
