play box 50 points

Do you know guys can the 50 points in sephora play beauty box be used online or just only in store,thank you!

Thanks for the replies all!! I'm contemplating the box, but due to budgeting, wanted to make sure this *splurge* is worth it. If I figure correctly, if not *throwing away* the 50 points each month (as I believe they expire?), then one is actually spending $60 a month in Sephora...am I correct? $10 for the PlayBox. $50 in store to combine with the 50 Playbox points...in order to redeem. Now...do I get to just add those 100 points to my VIB balance OR must I redeem at the time of purchase??

@cresm8r1908 So PLAY BOX is $10 a month so you automatically get 10 points added to your account each month. Each PLAY box comes with 50 points card - you can redeem this card in the store with any full size purchase. You don't have to spend $50. You can for example buy a mask for $5, give cashier the 50 points PLAY card and they will add the points to your account - in this case 50p + 5p for the mask - so if you do this you will have 65 points (10p box +50p card +5p mask)

 So if you do this every month you get 10 points for box + 50p for PLAY card + points for your purchase in the store .  

Now if you accumulate at least 100 points you can then redeem them in the store or online. Online is only with purchase. In the store I think you can redeem even without purchase.

Someone told me in the store that I had to have a minimum purchase of $20 in order to use the card. The terms and conditions on the back of the May Play by Sephora box says it must be a minimum purchase of $20 in order to use the card for the 50 points but this month's June box doesn't specify any minimum amount necessary. Thoughts?

Hi @Lauren4530,

For the month of May we offered a Play! Pass for one month only that can be redeemed once with a $20 purchase either online or in-store for our 2-Year Anniversary for Play! As a reminder, these passes will expire on 6/30/18.

The June Play! Pass will expire on 7/31/18, and you may bring it to any Sephora store to receive 50 extra Beauty Insider points with any full-sized purchase. I hope this helps!

@svetleto Unfortunately you can't upload your PLAY BOX points online  - only in the store with a purchase (some stores do it even without a purchase) But if you don't have store close to you try to call customer service and explain them the situation maybe they will be able to add the points to your account - I read somewhere that some people were able to do this - not sure if it's true or not...hope this helps!

@svetleto Unfortunately the lowest point perk is 100 points - so you have to wait until you have  at least 100 points to redeem for something. For every $ you spend at sephora you earn 1 point. Even the $10 you pay for the Play Box adds 10 points to your account. Right now Beauty Insiders earn double the points ( VIB triple and Rouge 4x) for every purchase.

I'm new to the Sephora play subscription box. My question is the points that they give us with each box, do they expire?

The bonus point card states that it must be used in a U.S. Sephora store. Also, there is not a promotional code listed on it, so I don't think there would be any way possible to use it online even if you wanted to try. It's a subscription service by mail, so I think the card is to draw customers into a physical location to entice them to check out other products too and benefit their physical stores. My guess, anyway 🙂
