Play! VS Ipsy

so currently I have Ipsy, and I have been noticing that the products have been so-so lately. And I am now thinking about trying out Play instead, I just want to know if it is worth it to make the switch or not 🤷‍♀️

I like with ipsy that i can make what i want more strict by changing my anwsers in the quiz and reviewing products. I get what i want every month from ipsy while i feel sephora isnt very different

Hello, I currently get both the ipsy box and a sephora play box. I wanted to try both (after getting ipsy for over a year) to see which was better. Sephora play is BY FAR better. I’ve been unsatisfied with ipsy for the past 3 boxes, so I’m just going to cancel and stick with sephora play. My favorite part about sephora play is that you know you’re getting name brand products... no drugstore ones like you could in an ipsy box. I also love getting 50 extra points each month!! Definitely go with sephora play!

I have both Ipsy and Play boxes and I like Play more. I don't think I've ever received any drugstore products from Ipsy but I like that their test is more in depth on what you'd like to receive and it seems everybody gets something different. Whereas Play you get more high end products you may be familiar with hearing about (which I like a lot more) but then again me and my friend got the exact same things in our bags. I think Ipsy has lost its hype though and for me I blame it on them telling you so early everything your getting. I'd love for it to be a secret until you get your bag like Play does. But, for me Play wins overall for the quality of the products received because I use them all the time compared to the stuff out of my ipsy bags that are mostly still sitting in the bags they came in.

I get Ipsy Play Box and Birch Box and so far I think my Play Box has given me better stuff!

@Anonymous, I have both, play definitely gives high end samples more regularly than ipsy. I also just subscribed to boxycharm, I'm just addicted lol

If you want to get stuff you like in your ipsy bag it is recommended that you have the app and review every item also the whole bag itself so that they can best fit it to what you like, just think they are guessing what you like and if you give reviews it helps. I get all the good stuff.

@jayylucas I thought about getting an ipsy sub but decided not to when I found out they send you drug store items. I guess ppl would need to know what's important to you in a beauty box in order to help you better.

I’ve been an ipsy subscriber since it started as Glam Bag a few years ago. I’ve also noticed that it’s not as awesome as it used to be. This will be my first Play! Box. Anxious to compare!
