PLAY! by SEPHORA Invitation FAQs

PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!

For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8^th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.

If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.

Q: When will invites be sent out to people who are on the waitlist?

A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.

Q: Where does PLAY! by SEPHORA ship?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.

Q: If I do get an invite, am I guaranteed a box?

A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.

Q: Will Canadians have an opportunity to subscribe?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.

Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?

A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Anyone from Boston receive shipping confirmation yet? I'm dying over here! I need the 50 extra Beauty Insider points for in store purchases! Dying to get the Vice 4 pallet but waiting for the play card!

I've been waiting for shipping confirmation myself (also from Boston). Just checked my e-mail and the time it was sent was 12:28pm eastern today. I expect it should arrive by Wednesday.

What's this about 50 extra points?? And have you checked your Orders on Sephora.com? There may be info there?

I dont think the extra points is on all the puchases but full size purchases of the products included in the box??

"A: Yes! Your monthly subscription fee qualifies for Beauty Insider points. For a limited time, show your current PLAY! PASS when purchasing items in store to receive 50 bonus points each month."

How very vague. Well, I'm sure going to try to use that benefit on all purchases since it doesn't explicitly say Full Size purchases of box products.

SO! As soon as I wrote that question, I got confirmation that the shipping label was created today. Score. 

Once you receive your play box, you can bring your play card into your nearest sephora store and get 50 additional beauty insider points per purchase for a limited time.  I believe it's just a perk of being part of the test group, but don't quote me on that.  I am, however, positive that if you bring your card in store, you will be able to rack up 50 extra points on top of the points you'd get for your purchase.  So, for example, I would get 110 points for the vice 4 rather than 60. Awesome.  

For me, that's the most beneficial perk because I go through points like crazy, especially if I do separate transactions for gifts.

That's great I never knew that! A long time ago I read something I def misunderstood, then! I just looked it up & the only place you can't get points is JCP.com, which makes sense.  hmmmm so who knows then!

You can get points from JCP.com. I most definitely got my BI points when I ordered my Hanae Mori perfume! And the Sephora packing slip as it still ships from a Sephora warehouse.

I haven't received a shipping notice and mine still says "sent to warehouse."  Are there any others out there whose box hasn't been shipped yet?

I just got a shipping notice within about 20 minutes of posting this.  Hurrah!  There's no estimated delivery date yet.

Sad to see that our Flash shipping doesn't apply to the Play boxes. 😞 I was charged on 9/9, but my box won't actually be delivered until 9/24!! That's crazy.

Sometimes I don't get regular Sephora VIB/ROUGE promo emails and I keep wondering if that could cause me to miss my invite even if I was sent one??? So every once in a while I try to sign up anyway hoping maybe I will get lucky one day and it will go through... so far I'm on the waitlist about 10 times now 😄

I signed up for the wait list right away when people started talking about it. I got an 'exlusive for you' invite late August. I think a mod mentioned that while they are rolling it out, it will be by invite only. If you see anyone post on here from your area, then start checking all your email folders and try the sign up again.

This looks so much better then ipsy and birchbox and I would love a box.

Question can two people with the same mailing address sign up or is it just 1 per household?

WHAT'S WITH THE TEST AREA SEND OUTS SEPHORA? Just take all of our money already and send me a box! I don't have patience 😞
