Age appropriate boxes

Hello I have been shopping with you guys for almost two decades. Needless to say that when my daughter's started wanting to use makeup we went with your classes. Now that you offer Play! monthly boxes. It's a shame that you don't as a company use our personal profiles. Instead you have us complete one completely for Play! that doesn't use the birthdate or age. My 14 year old daughter was sent a box with products for a mature woman with the need for cellulite products. Sephora please address the age difference variations and that there's a market for teenagers that you are totally missing the mark on. Kindly look into creating Play! boxes for teenagers. Ps. please note that she asked for a Play! year subcription as her birthday gift. So far it has been a huge let down for her.

Re: Age appropriate boxes

Ipsy gets better with time as it gets used to what you like and don't like(plus has cuter bags), however it eventually starts to go down again when you keep getting the same product kind of product. That said it takes a year or so for that to happen. Boxycharm is wonderful, it's $21 a month, so pricier, but rn they're doing several months of palettes, which is a great and affordable way to build her stash(next month's box has a lovely neutral palette from pur that would be great for starting off). Plus they have a mix of fun and everyday colors. Only problem is they don't offer customization like ipsy does, but they seem less skincare based than play, so that might not matter.

RE: Age appropriate boxes

Excellent points! Have you looked into to Julep boxes [also there is no question mark or comma on the keypad associated wit the app pardon bad punctuation]. Their products are simpler and IMO are better suited to teens. Plus each month if you don't like their announced default suggestions she can swap out for other things or skip the month entirely. They have basic skincare and makeup along with the impressive selection of nail polishes they are known for. I love Sephora in so many ways but I can see how their box might be a miss for teens where Julep may be the way to go. @1Liv

Re: RE: Age appropriate boxes

Agreed as far as punctuation goes. Sephora please change the keyboard back to regular. Thanks the Julep suggestion. We really like the quality of Sephora products. Just wish they would address the teen market better.

Re: RE: Age appropriate boxes

I feel like Ipsy or Boxycharm would also be a great choice for a teen!

Re: RE: Age appropriate boxes

Try Ipsy wasn't trilled with quality. Is Boxy the one in the $20 range?
