Makeup Tutorials and Inspiration

Hello everyone. I’m gender fluid and have a pretty solid femme makeup routine down. I’d like to incorporate some makeup into my masc side too. I’ve experimented with some mascara, brown eyeliner, brow pencil and a nude-ish lip but I’m looking for more inspiration. I’ve seen a few Wayne Goss videos but I was wondering what else is out there. If you have suggestions for other channels or accounts to check out or if you have a good routine down, I’d love to check it out.

Re: Makeup Tutorials and Inspiration

Hey! I'm a man who enjoys makeup, and I'd like to share my routine for achieving a subtle masculine appearance. To start, I apply SPF, and I highly recommend the Neutrogena Clear Face oil-free sunscreen, which you can easily find at your local drugstore or grocery shop. Next, I use primer, and although I appreciate all the options from MUFE, my personal favourite is the MAKE UP FOR EVER Mini Step 1 Primer Pore Minimizer Pore Minimizer

Moving on to foundation, I opt for the HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation with Fermented Arnica 130 Light Warm   I blend it across the areas that require coverage, and once I'm finished, I use a beauty blender to ensure a smooth and even application. This includes not only my face but also my neck, and ears.

For concealer, I rely on the HUDA BEAUTY #FauxFilter Matte Buildable Coverage Waterproof Concealer Marshmallow 1.3 Golden . I apply it exclusively to my under-eye area and blend it out with a beauty blender. When it comes to contouring, I recommend the MAKEUP BY MARIO SoftSculpt® Cream Contour & Bronzer Stick Light Medium . I apply it in circular motions on my temples and then blend it out. Additionally, I use the contour to define the sides of my nose and enhance the middle with the Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlight Mesmerize

Skipping blush, I proceed directly to setting powder, and I suggest the Givenchy Mini Prisme Libre Illuminating & Color Correcting Loose Powder . That's all there is to it! I hope you find this routine enjoyable and helpful

Re: Makeup Tutorials and Inspiration

Thanks for the insight into your routine @Sam013! How do you like the primer? Does it work as advertised and minimize your pores?

Re: Makeup Tutorials and Inspiration

The MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Primer Pore Minimizer Pore Minimizer  Does a really good job for minimizing my pores. But when applying it, you have to be really careful. Too little won’t make any difference and too much will clog your pores. I have acne prone dry skin, and this primer causes acne if I use too much at once.

Re: Makeup Tutorials and Inspiration

Thanks for the honest review @Sam013! Too bad it’s a little comedogenic. My skin is sensitive and I’d rather not add another skin issue on top.

Also, a quick tip for BIC: It doesn’t always automatically notify people when you’ve replied. We get around that by using @ to tag them. Otherwise, messages sometimes get missed. I’m glad I didn’t miss yours! 🙂
