Kat Von D Powder Foundation Match?

Hey all! I wear Light 46 Cool in Kat Von D's lock it liquid foundation. I'm looking at getting one of the powder ones to match, and on the KVD Beauty site, it recommends Medium 145 or 150, which looks pretty dark compared to the Light 46 Cool. I want to be as efficient in the store when I go in, so to swatch two or three shares rather than fifteen. I'd obviously put a dab of 46 on my hand and match to that, but any suggestions as to what might be closest?

Oh and I just picked up the Make Up For Ever ultra HD foundation in a stick That stuff literally disappears into my face. My wife can’t even tell. Granted I only spot treat most days and blend with a brush but it really is a great product. Take a second and see if you can try that one out if interested.

I see 2 options 1 you have them use the colorIQ test on you as a baseline and then they will tell you what shades to try. It takes like 5 min at most. Or, if you know something that works for you already, like for me BareMinerals BarePro Natural Light 09 is a perfect match for me. Armed with that info I can use any foundation on the website and use the shade finder to match it as close to possible. I’d still test it in store even after checking that. But it will get you close, and the beauty advisors are amazing. In fact they are super cool and encouraging. A few know me now and are not shy about making suggestions. I used to get a little stressed over going in. Not anymore.... Dudes buying makeup is not uncommon these days.
