make up beginner tips

Hi,

I'm just getting into makeup and i was wondering if you can recommend products for beginners like me or give me some tips on doing my makeup.

thank you so much if you take the time to reply.

Re: make up beginner tips

@HannahWinks1 I agree with @ZakiyaBT on the TF!  I started with Too Faced Natural Eyes Eyeshadow Palette

Re: make up beginner tips

Hi @HannahWinks1,

TOO FACEDhas eyeshadow palettes with a step by step guide on how to create different looks, which are very helpful. Sephora Collection has great products as well that are good if you are just starting out. I hope that this helps.

Best,

Zakiya

hi @ZakiyaBT, and @greeneyedgirl107t thanks for taking the time to reply. do you recommend any brushes or face products like highlighter, blush etc. do you have any go to brands when you shop at sephora.

thanks again for replying!

Re: make up beginner tips

@greeneyedgirl107 gave some awesome suggestions! For highlighters I love the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Ginger Binge/ Moscow Mule the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits and BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed Highlighter are really nice as well. I also like TOO FACED - Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipstick and NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment American Womant. I hope that this helps and happy shopping!!

Re: make up beginner tips

@HannahWinks1 I like the Sephora brand brushes - they are pretty much all I use.  I don't use a lot of highlighter, but I do own the Kat Von D Face Contour Palette which is popular:

For blush, TARTE - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush - Natural Beauty is an easy shade to wear; the line has many other nice shades.  Also, NARS - Blush is very popular.

I also like Too Faced Natural Eyes Eyeshadow Palette for beginners.  (I also own their Boudoir Eyes and Natural at Night.)  UD Naked palettes are popular (I like Naked 1 and Naked Basics 1 and 2).

For lipstick URBAN DECAY - Vice Lipstick has a good variety.  Naked is a good neutral.  I own Violate, Obsessed and one other; I'm thinking about Sheer Liar, also.

I think these might be a good start for you.  Best of luck 🙂
