I have been trying to learn how to do my make up and I don’t like how my makeup comes out matte/ powdery at the end even though I don’t use a matte foundation. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to end up with a dewy/ not matte looking finish? Thanks

Currently using elf primer, House Labs foundation, dior forever skin concealer, merit bronze stick, and rose in blush. I also set my under eyes with a translucent powder and finish with a charlotte tilbury airbrush setting spray.

I use Milk setting spray which works well and makes for a dewy finish. 🙂

Hi @nameitt! How’s your skincare routine before applying your makeup? If your skin is dry before you begin your makeup routine, your skin will suck the moisture right out of the makeup and look dry. I’ve been down that road before and now I make sure I apply at least some of skincare routine again before my makeup.

@nameitt I like using Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Face Primer 1.35 oz/ 40mL and mixing into my foundation. 

I set my face with Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Refillable Blurring & Setting Powder and Hourglass Veil™ Translucent Setting Powder - Talc Free Translucent 

If you have dry/combo skin then you only set where you would get oily. You could also spray a face mist into your sponge and then apply your foundation. There are so many ways to make a look dewy. All the pictures on my gallery page is dewy makeup.

@nameitt @I would switch your primer, add more glow with a highlighter or with Hourglass Ambient® Lighting Palette
